This place used to be so interesting and cool. For almost a year I was a regular, going to see live music in the warehouse building and then checking in next door to the art studio where a bunch of artists would be painting. Everyone was free to go between buildings and enjoy music and art, as the name implies. A year and a half later, things have changed. The old staff is gone, and a new manager/bartender has taken charge, one who believes in running things more formally (ie, bartenders aren’t supposed to dance when they are working (but not busy) — that’s an example of new rules I was told. It was that exact kind of thing that made the place so fun). He’s not fun and not friendly, new head honcho. The art studio with all the freelance artists turned into a rental space for just one or two artists and the rest of them had to leave. The studio totally lost its sense of a lively community. The proprietor, Joe & the staff are welcoming & hospitable. This place is not pretentious or stuffy. You'll feel right at home here. We came for a live music event & found much more.
