The Jaxon — Hotel in West Palm Beach

Very pleasantly surprised and pleased with The Jaxon accommodations. Very good value for the price. I booked the reservation, received a text with the property details and my room entry code. Everything worked perfectly. My focus was to find an inexpensive clean room to crash near my client and The Jaxon fit that task 100%. Small studio apartment, one room and a small bathroom/shower. The property had clearly been renovated. Clean, stylish, excellent bed and nice bedding. Slept like a rock. Lots of pillows. Very good air conditioning. Refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker with good supply of coffee. Excellent shower with high flow and very hot water. Quality towels, big shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer all in very good shape. Plenty an electrical outlets but no desk in the unit I reserved which was not a consideration for me. I priced out competitive rooms and was initially suspicious given the Jaxon nightly rate was half most others. As a budget option the quality of the accommodations was surprisingly above average. Impressed by the concept of a renovated apartment building as a hotel. No concierge needed and I did not need to text for services as provided. Adequate parking the first night and one space short the second night. Parked on the side street which is residential. 10 minutes away from the Atlantic Ocean. I had such a great stay at The Jaxon. It’s easily one of the nicer hotels I’ve been to in a long time. Riviera Beach itself was beautiful- the water was amazinggg, I didn't want to leave. Right by the beach access, there were plenty of fun spots and activities to check out. Olga, the owner, went above and beyond for me for real. When I arrived late at night and was oblivious to the room entry system, she personally came to help me into my room at 05:00. (for the record- it’s super easy, they send you a code and you type it into the door) I tried the key box next to the door😐. She was also kind enough to let me rest a bit past checkout when I explained how little sleep I’d had the night before. That level of care realllly stood out. The room had everything I needed- good water pressure in the shower, strong AC, a little kitchen, and a bed I slept so well in. The vibe felt super homey to me. Olga even let me check out one of the bigger rooms since I mentioned wanting to stay longer next time, and I posted some photos for anyone curious about what those look like, too. It was a great experience. The location, the people, and the whole atmosphere made my stay even better....

The location is great. You won’t be out walking to restaurants and shops but it’s only about a 10 min drive to anywhere you might want to go in the area. Parking is free which is a huge bonus. The hotel has been renovated well with very modern decor. The bathroom and kitchen were well stocked and pretty large. The only things that we had issue with is that the people in the room next to us the first night were up until 3 or 4 am. They weren’t being excessively loud but we could hear their conversations in both of our bedrooms. Luckily the next few nights we didn’t hear anyone. The noise from the street was also loud but we were in the units closest to the street. I have a feeling if you were in the main part of the motel it wouldn’t have been an issue. I am very sensitive to smells and the unit had an intense aroma of cleaning products. I thought it would dissipate but it was pretty harsh throughout our stay. We kept the windows open while we were in the unit and that helped tremendously. Would definitely...
