Horizon Inn & Suites — Hotel in West Point

I’m a retire disable veteran I’ve been in a lot of motels and lot of places, but this one was the worst, first off let’s see pulling up to the motel. It look like it been run down for a while, then after getting into our room, we had a very bad smell in our place, which made both me and my wife sick, then we went to the front desk to see if they had a handicap room for us, my wife in the wheelchair so she could take a shower, When I ask the staff we could switch to handicap room with a shower. Call us back in 30 minutes, they did not call us back. Let’s talk about the breakfast now the breakfast sucked. The food was very poorly made. And no instructions on how to use any of the equipment in for the breakfast and also the food they had prepared. It was all dried out and wasn’t good at all to say then the, I had better food in the field when I was in the army, bed let’s just say the bed was very uncomfortable. If you want stay here this first read, reviews back in the past, forget about those, because the people that owns it now just bought the place about a month or two month ago and they let the place go down, when I would live down here with my parents for why I stayed in that motel and it was good now it’s it’s been rundown so my advice to you guys my five stars let’s just say if I could put a -5 stars I would and also, we tried to get our money some of our money back and they refused to give it back. If we needs to leave got to gave them 24 hours notice, they do not let you know these know about that until you after you pay for everything and also we went there with my sister and her husband and her kids, because it had supposed to have a pool and weight room near the, or the weight room not one was open so in all actuality misrepresentation of what’s going on, so I hope some lawyers are reading this and turn around them sue them guys and this place...

The hotel is nice and clean. However, the customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. My wife and I had our wedding in Westopint and pretty much had the entire hotel booked for our party. Every guest that checked in said the same thing about the front desk help. Rude, not nice, made me feel like I was an idiot. We did not ask for anything special for the weekend or needs for our wedding. Frankly, we had every room rented which seems like good business to me. To top it off a handful of our wedding guest had their credit cards compromised after the wedding. All these guest said they used the said credit card to book the room and pay for the room. The hotel has denied it is their fault. We did not ask for anything in return but merely an acknowledgement that their systems could be compromised. When I called to let them know they basically made me feel like I was an idiot for thinking it could be them. Most logical and semi educated people can put two and two together.

I would never give my money to this hotel ever again and I would recommend going to the Motel 8...

I don't see how this hotel gets so many high ratings. Nothing wrong with the staff they were all friendly. The breakfast is the typical one you see at most hotels. Nothing great at all there. The place is old and dingy looking. I had a suite, (in name only). but wasn't about to sit on that old furniture that should've been thrown out on the curb years ago. The fitness room equipment was out of order and unusable, the pool's been closed for maintenance it appears like from some of the comments for a long while. The TV's in the rooms are smaller than most PC monitors and in the "suites" there in only that one tiny TV in the room, nothing in front of the couch. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody. The first thing I noticed when I walked in my room was the smell of cow manure. I think the ownership needs to put some of their money back into the place and give it a massive face-lift.
