West Point Inn & Suites — Hotel in West Point

At first, this hotel seems well kept if slightly outdated. Deep basin sinks for filling water bottles. Good showers and mattresses. Thoughtful furniture appointment.

Now, at about 4:15am I was awoken during a heavy rain storm to the sound of loud dripping. Water was pretty rapidly flooding through the bottom window seam and onto the floor and AC unit. Had to get up and place a bunch of towels to soak up all the water.

Then we awake and head upstairs for breakfast (as the hotel site specifically states they have waffles, cinnamon rolls, and fruit which sounds like a wonderful way to start the day.) Now we went up for breakfast with an hour to spare. I kid you not, the only items present were about 10 pieces of bread, 2 ounces of cold gravy in an unplugged crockpot, and a 3/4 full gallon of milk in a fridge. That was literally It. We actually spent extra to go to this hotel and that’s the breakfast they had prepared.

If you’re staying anywhere near West Point, I’d strongly suggest looking somewhere...

Overall not a bad hotel, stayed here for a work trip, in 2 different rooms, the staff were very friendly but the room themselves were a bit disappointing, although they were spacious the windows were were hard to open and the screens were torn, the beds themselves were very comfy and made to feel like home but the bathrooms could use a little work, hot water took forever and in one of the rooms I had very little shower water pressure rooms were fairly clean except for higher points never dusted but I’m just being picky, overall a good place to stay if you need something affordable...

I stayed here for 3 days last week and I was very happy with the room and the service. There were, however, some very inconsiderate guests (they worked construction early) that thought it was appropriate to talk loudly on their phones at 5:30am in the hallways... This woke me up and ultimately I complained to the front desk. I got refunded for one night of my stay and comped a room on the other side of the inn. I was very happy with this customer service.
