Hurricane Milton was scary. So we decided to get out of harms way and booked this 1 bed room room in The Vacation Village at Weston, FL. This was a great room for the 4 of us. Little kitchen, nice balcony and plenty of room for a dinner together. The sleeper sofa was not the best, but sufficient. They offer a nice pool area and even some entertqinment. Price was ok as well. I would go there again. It is an older complex. But friendly and good service. #hotelroom #weston #florida #milton #hurricane

I recently stayed at this incredible place during a four day trip to visit colleges in South Florida. I spent weeks fretting over the cost of hotels + parking fees + huge resort fees knowing we would be busy with College Tours and interviews. Then, my son told me about this place at a fraction of the cost with no parking fees, no daily resort fees ( just one low rate for the entire stay!!). And, that was Vacation Village at Weston. Historically, when traveling we have stayed in top of line hotels and resorts (Polynesian, Beaches, ect.). Since, this was not a full blown family special vacation, I could not justify this kind of investment, nor afford it with upcoming college costs. Yet, I was afraid to go low budget and feared poor conditions (NONE!), or, bedbugs (NONE!), and roaches (NONE!). Vacation Village. Our room was completely bug-free!! I highly recommend The Vacation Village at Weston! It's nestled in a professional, upscale and beautiful palm tree-lined community (Weston, Florida). It offers the perfect blend of safety, comfort, cleanliness, luxury, and AMAZING affordability. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was in a 5-star resort. The property is immaculately maintained, with spacious, well-designed rooms that feel both modern and cozy. The attention to detail really shines, from the elegant furnishings to the thoughtful touches throughout. Plus, the peaceful surroundings, with palm trees swaying in the breeze, create the ultimate relaxing atmosphere. The pool is huge & gorgeous! Just beware that people claim their chairs from very early in the morning!! The pool/hottub is so massive, warm and inviting. If you are not willing to get up at 8 am to claim a chair ( We weren't)....You can simply throw your towel down and sit on the pool ledge to soak up the sun, anyway! What really stands out is the value for money. You get so much more than you'd expect for the price—this place truly feels like a luxury stay without breaking the bank. Whether you're here for a short getaway or a longer stay, this is the also the perfection location to all the colleges and universities in Davie. It's easy in and out access to all major highways. And my biggest worry was avoided....no bugs. The layout of the room was ideal with two doors for the bathroom and an ice machine in the freezer. We watched some amazing sunsets from the super large and private balcony. If there were any ways to improve the room I would suggest switching the bed to a King Size. If you are not used to a King size bed, you may not care. Please know... there is not daily housekeeping services. But, I was glad! I would rather not have someone in my room daily or worry about someone knocking on my door for housekeeping. Improvement wise: I would suggest to the Management: ... 1. Perhaps you might consider switching to cleaning products with a more inviting and cleaner scent! I saw employees cleaning all the time. However, the scent did not permeate that level of hard work and cleanliness. 2.I would suggest upgrading the gift shop. It was overcrowded with minimal selections of quality necessities and dueled as a beach grill. 3.Create a real beach grill outside near the Towel/Smoothie area and offer a larger menu to include fresh fruit and salads. Otherwise, If you're looking for a hidden gem with the feel of a high-end resort ....but, at a FRACTION of the cost, with NO parking fees, minimal resort fees... This is the place to be!!

We booked this property, expecting a great experience. Unfortunately, that was not what we received. Let's start with arrival. There was a line of about 8, while one of the staff set at the desk filing her nails, maybe she was off the clock. Anywho, get to the desk & there is no information shared at all and sent on my way to get parking tag. Get to parking tag station, where they try to drag you into their "free lunches" to sell you time shares and such. After turning him down several times, he rudely hands me the parking pass and walks away. I suppose he was angry thatI didnt budge. We get to our building, 1 elevator is working, a long line of folks, and about a 28-minute wait to get on the elevator. The room, first impression walking in the room was very humid, smelled bad, dirty floors, you can tell these rooms are not cleaned well between visitors. Everything is outdated, which can be passable if it were clean. We go to pull the sofa-bed and theres TONS of food under neath it. If we could see it, i am sure the housekeeping staff has too. The floors were filthy. Hair, crumbs, you name it. But after a 30-hour drive, we were tired and decided to just deal with it. Walked into the bathroom, and it reeked with a urine smell. I sprayed it down with disinfectant and tried to make the best of it. Called to report and was brushed off. The shower head is horrible, with no pressure, too close to the wall, just horrid, forget trying to wash your hair in there if you have tons of hair. Mold, black mold around the entire shower, around the toilet. This is when I noticed the toilet was loose and leaked some from underneath, possibly causing the horrible smell. The bathroom floor was full of hair, and the baseboards were layered with dust. I took it upon myself to sweep and dust some. Even scrubbed the floors to get rid of some of the smell! I called again to report the smell and was told a cleaning would be $50. Asked for shampoo, was told they do not provide, which was fine, just expected simple toiletries from such place. Requested toilet paper and towels. I was told i could go get it myself from their laundry room, not a big deal, but it would have been nice to be told all these things at check-in. The kitchen was clean, although some of the dishes were not properly washed, so we did run them thru a cycle. The pool area is nice, unless you have children. Its almost as if they are not welcomed. Not by the property, but by all the older guests (this property is quiet and full of older guests which is better than a bunch of wild college kids) back to the pool, the main pool is great, not heated though. They do have a kids pool, which was also filled with adults and very little room left for kids to play. Older guests are not too fond of the kids splashing and running around, soooo we were limited to sitting in the water. I think they should apply rules to the kids' area to allow the children to have fun and not be shadowed by grouchy older guests who want to be in the kids' area reading books and smoking. We will certainly not be returning to this property, although the location is great, the property is not. I believe an investment in updating the rooms, mold remediation, and some staff training would help this property become a better vacation spot for us travelers.

The area and amenities were great. The pool was amazing. The rooms were in need of support but had some things that needs addressing.

We vacation some, but staycation a lot!!! It's not uncommon for us to get a room for a family weekend or date night.

The pros..... The rooms were spacious each unit has a bedroom separate with a door and a living room/ sitting area with a sleeper sofa.

Each unit has a balcony. The A unit balcony is a wrap around that connect the sitting area with the bedroom. The A unit has a 2 person jacuzzi in the bedroom king bed, and a stand up shower with his and her sinks in the bathroom. The kitchen is a full kitchen with oven, microwave, dishwasher, stovetop and fridge/freezer combo with ice maker.

The B unit has a sink and fridge, microwave but no oven or dishwasher. Sleeper sofa, queen bed in a separate bedroom and half balcony.

The pool is amazing and has a waterfall, heated jacuzzi, store for bathing suits ect and an amazing poolside stand for burgers and hotdogs. All orders come with a side or fries but you can't order fries alone which was a bummer. The double cheeseburger was AMAZING.

They had poolside activities throughout the day from Yoga to paint and sips, tattoo (temp) and popcorn.

When traveling with teenagers, you can get both units, it's one door at the entrance then it's basically two separate apartments with their own keys and doors. Connected the PS5 on his B side and we played adult games on the A side

The cons: When you check in, you go from the check-in desk to a desk you have to get your parking pass from and they try to sell you.

The mattresses in both bedrooms are not comfortable and hard the sleeper sofa feels like the bed mattress. The pillows needs updating to something more supportive as well.

Worse of all. I seen roaches in both rooms. Not the big ol palmetto bugs, but the little roaches that come from under the fridge. Seen one in our room, killed it quickly before wife seen it because we would have been packing up and leaving, and 2 in room B my son killed.

I spoke to the guy at the desk and let him know during checkout we had roaches in the room, all he said was yeah, I'll make a note. No apologies, discount, free day on a future stay. Nothing but I will make a note. Sounds like it's not uncommon or he didn't give AF.

He alone took the service to one star, but from the lady who checked me in to the guys making the burgers, they took it to 3 stars.

This would be an all 5* place with new mattresses and an exterminator.

I would have already been planning a return trip but that exit was a...
