We enjoyed our time here. The Great - lots of amenities, don't get bothered, easy check in and check out process, very responsive to emails and texts, super accommodating. The Good - they supply a lot of things like smor's kits, bikes, surf boards, wood for fire pits and grills, games, and plenty of places to relax outdoors. Theres a hammock in the room that my kids loved. The fridge is decent size for a mini fridge, it fits a lot. The soap they provide is vegan and pretty chemical free. The OK- my matcha was good but my white mocha was burnt and undrinkable, our room had plenty of space for us but there's no storage area so everything just chills on the ground and the rooms are significantly smaller then the average hotel room especially the bathrooms. The showers are just a small square and they don't have very good water pressure. The internet is very spotty so at night when watching TV it goes out a lot or buffers constantly. The Bad - I asked for a deep clean of our room prior to arrival because my kids have sensitive skin and our floors (wood) hadn't been mopped. The entire room smelled like dogs from the floor not being clean to the point i used my disinfectant wipes to mop the floors down until I could have somebody come in the next morning and mop them. The rooms are very hot because there's no air conditioning and only one small tower fan instead of light fans. There's two windows in the room but one is directly in the front where your front door is. We had to open our front door at night and put the fan in it to cool down the room. The shade on the front window wouldn't stay down so we had to clip it. There's no ice machines that I seen and nowhere to put a bag of ice but I guess now that I'm thinking about it that's probably what the cooler in the room was for. THE SPA WAS CLOSED OUR ENTIRE STAY and we weren't notified of that prior to coming, I've had this reservation for 2 months and that was the biggest draw for us was the sauna and cold plunge. I do feel we should have been discounted a day for not being able to access it or at least offered a chance to choose different accommodations by letting us know in advance. I would have even taken a discount for the next stay. They did apologize and come the next day to mop our floors which completely got rid of the smell and felt much cleaner on our feet. The workers (the couple we seen) were all very nice. The person/ people i was texting the whole time were super accommodating and friendly. The trager grills were easy to use and cooked up some of the best steak I've ever made. We would definitely stay again but would probably rent the cabin next time and bring a couple fans. Also I would call and check to make sure everything is up and running before I drive two hours and not be able to access what I paid for. I do recommend The Loge just be aware its more glamping then a hotel stay, which i guess is the entire point considering its...

Cute space but disappointing service and communication

We recently stayed at LOGE Westport and had high hopes, but our experience was mixed. The location is easy to access, and I liked the convenience of getting our room code texted straight to us — very simple check-in process. The room itself was clean and had a cute, cozy vibe, but it felt very small, especially the bathroom. With four people, it definitely pushed the limits of comfort. Also, it was incredibly hot in the room. There was a small tower fan provided but it was honestly just blowing around hot air. We had a double queen room.

One thing I really wish the room had was a broom or a larger front mat by the door. After a trip to the beach, sand was everywhere, and there wasn’t really a way to clean it up. That made the space feel messier quickly.

I had pre-ordered the “Beer Me” package for $15 as a surprise for my spouse’s birthday, but when we arrived, it wasn’t there. We also never received the free s’mores kit that was advertised (not sure if we needed to request it separately). When my spouse asked the staff about the beer package, they said they had no record of it and they would have to walk all the way to the store to get it — despite there being beer visible in the fridge at the on-site cafe. I will say I wasn’t charged in the end, but I was disappointed — it was meant to be a special touch for the birthday weekend.

Another downside was the staff. They didn’t seem happy to be there and weren’t very welcoming. In the afternoon, I had to track someone down just to buy a drink because no one was in the cafe. In the morning, I had to repeat my order multiple times because the staff member taking it was distracted with what another a coworker was doing. No one asked how our stay was or made any effort to connect with us.

Also disappointing was finding out the spa was closed. Based on reviews, it looks like it had been down for a couple of weeks already. It would have been nice to get a heads-up via email or text since it was something we were looking forward to using.

On a positive note, the evening concert was a really nice touch and made for a fun hangout with our family in the gathering space.

Overall, while there were a few things to enjoy, the lack of amenities and the unwelcoming staff really took away from...

Loge used to be so special to me and one of my most favorite places to visit. However, this year I was really disappointed at the 2 different locations we visited. I’m specifically disappointed in LOGE Westport because the service has gone down drastically. I brought my mom who was visiting from out of state and we went to the cafe. Ordered a cortado and a couple of bagels…. First of all, it was over 45 minutes of a wait. Second of all, extremely bizarre but the gal working at the counter gave me a cold cortado… NOT iced, but cold. Originally she forgot to make our cortado so we had to wait additional time. I asked her if she had a microwave to heat it up in considering it was not even warm anymore and we were trying to be considerate of other people waiting, she said no and asked if we wanted it remade. Her tone came off annoyed. Of course I said yes but that’s when I literally saw her pour cold half and half straight into the coffee.. Wow. No wonder it was cold, but also, a cortado is espresso and steamed milk??? My partner said he also did not have a great experience the day before… it seemed like the other woman there was some sort of manager in training? I’ve definitely seen her there before and she didn’t step in at all or contribute helpfully. Instead just watched it all go down… I would think if you saw your coworker/employee overwhelmed, you’d step in. The bagels were stale too… Also, the problem didn’t seem like there was only one worker and too many customers. It was because the gal behind the counter didn’t have a system. She wasn’t jotting things down or doing it chronologically which made it chaotic… I should’ve just asked for a refund honestly but we spent so much time waiting and needed to get on the road… Oh, not to mention, the community kitchen was extremely filthy as well so we couldn’t even use that… Anyways, the updates to the building are very nice but honestly, doesn’t make a difference if the service is poor. Hopefully they’ve improved or will improve soon. I almost wasn’t going to leave this review but it really saddens me how I was so excited to take my mom here and this was the experience our...

A family, dog, hipster, camper, glamper, roadtripper friendly place, with kind people who seem to enjoy working there. Rooms: We stayed here in one of the double queen rooms with a group of friends. The rooms have complimentary earplugs which was a huge help, our bed was comfortable and the room was spacious enough, with a couch, coffee table, and enough surfaces to feel at home. The bathrooms were a bit on the small side (tiny toilets, tiny showers) so not as convenient for the 6'2 guys in our group. Campsites: Two other friends camped in the sheltered campsites, and they seemed nice too for more of a glamping, comfy camping experience (electrical hookups, gravel floor, picnic table, market lights, and a raised platform to pitch your tent on.) Food: They have a great little coffee bar and hangout area with comfy seats and they also do breakfast wraps and some lighter food options. It also a tidy communal kitchen, and farm tables there that would be great for sharing a meal or a good remote work space. There's also a covered outdoor kitchen with a grill and counterspace. Also, lots of blackberries around in late summer. :) Design: The whole place has a cozy, hipstery surf camp vibe. Perfect for the 'gram.

Have been coming to LOGE Westport for a few years now, so thought I'd update my review. I've stayed in rooms, rustic camping, and covered camping (with a camper van), and every experience has been wonderful. Rooms are clean, spacious, great for sharing with friends / family. There's a great feel at the place, with plenty of room to sit and chat with people around fire pits, on a lawn, picnic tables, coffee shop, here there and everywhere. Bonus with events, including hosting the Cleanwater Classic some years ago and good tunes / merriment on the calendar. The staff is kind and helpful. We usually come here to surf, and LOGE is setup just for that with board storage, cleaning supplies, and lots of other surfers which makes for a good vibe. I most recently stayed here this past Thursday night and worked from their common space for the day, a new experience that turned out just swell. Will definitely look to repeat this in the future. It's a cool place, I'll keep coming back.
