LOGE Surf Shack — Local services in Westport

I don't like leaving negative reviews, but there are better shops in town for rental equipment, and this was one of the worst surf rentals I've experienced. I've tried calling to chat with someone but keep getting put on hold, so I'm leaving this review.

I had to return a board before using it as it was falling apart, every foam board they had was super water logged and delaminating. The first pair of gloves they gave me had holes and they swapped them out for different ones, which still had holes.... I ended up purchasing a pair from a different shop.

Also, they charged me the additional cost for the "intermediate" board as all of the foam boards they had were falling apart. When they handed me the first intermediate board, it was missing a fin. I should have just canceled my rental there and walked away.

I've rented boards and equipment probably 3-4 times in different places I traveled and I've never had to do 90% of the return myself. Wash the board, clean and rinse the equipment I was wearing, hang up the stuff, put the board away. Usually, that's part of the rental, just drop it off and the staff takes care of it.

Kind of expensive rentals for the shoddy equipment and having to do pretty much all of the return process myself. The personnel were great though, really...

Emily was kind and thoughtful and really helped us out a lot. We rented a 5/4mm wetsuit from them and the gear was in perfect condition and kept my little brother very warm in the freezing cold Westport waters. They had delicious food and drink for us as well.
