Starlite Motor Lodge — Hotel in Wichita

I stayed here 8/13/13. I was going to say, it's not that bad, given the price. I was quoted 35$ on the phone, then told 45$ when I got there, and then they bargained down to 40$ if I took a smoking room (even though non-smoking was available and what I requested). All without even opening the glass security window, just snatching my credit card and shoving out the key through the little slot. But that I could deal with, they were just trying to hustle. Maybe Wichita KS is rougher than I know. The room appeared clean enough, though un-modernized for some 30 years at least. There was no toilet paper. The towels were really poor quality, practically loose leaf notebook paper. But then the next day as I left I started realizing I had itchy bug bits all over my body. I slept in bed bugs! This is my worst fear and I've been all over the world and stayed in 5 star to negative 5 star places and never had to deal with bed bugs. On the bright side the shower had good water pressure and temperature and the internet was fast. Don't think I'll ever be in Wichita KS again anyway but suffice it to say I would not...

I will say pre and prior to this exoerience I ha e had better service and stays. I started coming here with my uncle and have been going back since as well just because that reason. They have been good to me and have usually had a room open. This time was one where being late and not knowing the reason for price especially when spending so little time there overall a good place and ill go back

I came to Wichita, for emergency my stepson check me in 02/14/22 to 02/21/22. I complain about bed bug Saturday the person was in charge told me the her company don’t have bad bugs I show the bites was in my back and she still denied also roach too, monday 6:30 I checked out because the bugs keep me awake, walk in the office explain and show the bits in my face arm and wrist, his only answer was writes the complaint, not even an apology or something , he don’t know nothing about how the room are bc he only work in the office I ask for the manager of course only answer was the motel number and I try to contact your manager and no one answer my call, and I’m not the only person room 114 one off them have the same experience they was ther for 3 months.
