I had the worst experience I’ve ever had renting here. The office lady Brittany is daft, to put it a nice way. She continuously gave us incorrect information about deposits, what the money we were giving them went towards, and how much we would owe for the final month of rent. It took me contacting the owner in our last month there so they would get it adjusted correctly due to the negligence on their part for giving us the wrong information. They posted an eviction notice our last month there due to us not paying enough in rent because of the information Brittany gave us before going on her maternity leave. I had proof of this because according to Sara the other office lady they replaced her with for the time being had let us know all calls to there office are recorded and Brittany sent us an email confirming she said this as well. Luckily I had my call history to provide dates and times that I had called to speak with them about the issue. If I did not have those phone calls we repeatedly made to ensure Brittany was giving us the “correct” info we would have had to pay a full month of rent the last month there. Brittany told us both at move in and the month before our lease was up that final months rent was paid when we moved in but that was not the case and rather than actually doing her job and looking at our account to get it figured out, she just went with what she had been telling us, that it was paid at move in. We finally got the last bill for move out fees and yet again they have messed u and incorrectly charged us for days we were never there. We moved all of our things out on 6/30, turned in a 30 day notice on 5/27/25 and yet were still charged for 3 days they are claiming we were there in July. At this point I have no intention of calling and fighting to get it removed because all of the people you deal with in the office are idiots and nothing will actually be done. If you are considering staying there PLEASE make sure you get everything that the people in the office tell you in writing, because that is the ONLY way they will help you when she messes up because I know for a fact we are not the only ones that were given misinformation from her. Quite frankly I don’t see how she still has a job but that’s beyond my control. If you’re looking for a good property management company try Key Renter. They have been absolutely amazing and handled every issue we’ve had quickly with professionalism. I can not reiterate it enough DO...
Read moreI have lived at Village Park Eastborough for about four years and I must say I struggled clicking the one star rating. When I first moved into the property, it wasn't so bad. The property is a little older, but I got a great deal on rent for the space. I was moving from a downtown loft and had large furniture so I needed a place that could accommodate my large furniture and I wanted a more quiet living environment. When I moved into the town home, I noticed it was very dated and needed some repairs, but it was okay for what it was worth. As mentioned previously, the first few years were okay. The property management was nice, the maintenance people were helpful and came on time when called and fixed what needed to be fixed in a timely manner. Going into years 3 and 4 is when things really started to go downhill. The property management changed multiple times in a very short period of time and the quality of service provided went down the drain right along with the multitude of managers that 'graced' (using that term loosely) property.
I doubt there are enough characters for me to elaborate on the horrible experience I've had over the past couple of years, but let's just say this place has gone down the crapper and fast. I have had multiple work order requests that have not been filled to my satisfaction. I have had leak issues, shower issues and their idea of 'fixing' the problem has been to come into my home, cut huge pieces out of the wall, leave dry wall (or whatever you call it) dust all over my bathroom/living room, not patch the wall back or paint and a host of other ridiculous issues.
The only reason why I have not moved ( I will be moving soon) has been because I am not home much because I travel quite a bit for work and leisure, but trust every time I leave my home I am ALWAYS worried that I will come back and something horrible will have happened (water leak, etc).
If someone asked me if I would recommend living here, I would give them an emphatic HELL NO! The property management is incompetent, non-responsive and according to a few friends that have been or are currently in the property management business, the owner of this property is the BIGGEST slum lord of the Midwest! If you have other options, do NOT live here...if you enjoy the struggle by all means move into this hell hole. I will be O-U-T as soon as my lease is up in a...

Last year, I moved to Wichita after spending many years working overseas. Prior to last year, I had never been to Wichita. When I arrived for work, I had only a few days to find a place and get settled. I wanted two things, a place with a little more space, and a place closer to my work. I had toured 18 different places, between homes and apartments, all of them either too far away, too expensive, or too small. I was running out of time and to be completely honest, I was discouraged and feeling I wouldn’t find that place I was hopeful for. That changed with Eastborough.
I came in, unannounced, a complete stranger, and met Marlen. Anyone who has ever went to a housing complex knows one of the things people worry about is the management. Do they care about their people, or are you a paycheck? I knew IMMEDIATELY that Marlen was a person who sees people first, before business. I have lived in many places all over the world, and none of them were as kind, caring, sincere, and helpful as Marlen. Within minutes of chatting, she had me looking at available spaces and I found exactly what I was looking for. She helped me get setup step by step, which meant so much to me considering I had not lived in the U.S. in years. She even made some recommendations to me about places I can go to for certain things to help me in setting up my new home. Since being here, I’ve had a few minor issues (and I really mean minor) and even then she had them fixed fast. She’s even went out of her way to have things fixed that I didn’t even know needed attention, but we’re also really minor.
To this day, my family, friends, co-workers, and visitors ask me “How did you find a place like this for only this much?” And every time I tell them that I was lucky that Marlen was in the office that Day when I stopped by. Every time I stop by the office, she’s always in a great mood and wants to know how you’re doing. You can tell it brings her joy to know you’re well and she works incredibly hard to make sure the tenants are taken care of within her abilities.
I’m not saying you won’t find a good place in Wichita. There are plenty of great places. But if you’re wanting to not look at 18 places like I did and want a simple simple and hassle free experience, consider putting Eastborough high on your list of places...
