We stayed for 2 nights at the Towneplace Suites again. We have stayed many times before, and it is always consistent. This is not a luxury hotel, however the price is very competitive compared to others in the area, just understand, sometimes you get what you pay for. We stay here because it is an economy stay, while still being a pleasant experience. |The check-in went very smoothly and quick. Our room was as expected, although this one seemed slightly smaller than what we have had in the past, but was very adequate for our needs. It had a small, fully equipped kitchen, with a full size microwave, a semi-full size refrigerator with an ice maker ( had to turn it on, but had ice quickly). There was a coffee maker, bags of coffee, cleaning products if you wanted to wash your dishes, and salt/pepper shakers and sweeteners. |The couch was ok, but not really comfortable. The bed was comfortable and clean. We had a small closet with hangers and shelves. There was a small dresser. Several USB ports throughout the room to charge devices. |Our tub was slippery, so we asked for a bathtub mat for the tub, and Shanika had one for us within about 15 minutes. Shanika was very friendly and efficient. Several of the ladies on staff were very friendly and helpful. |There was an ice machine in the laundry for our return trip home, so we could get plenty of ice for our cooler. |The "wood" floor in the room seemed a little sticky, not sure if it was the cleaning product used, or if it needed a good scrubbing. |The shower had lots of very hot water and great pressure. There were dispensers in the shower for body wash, shampoo and conditioner. The bathroom had a hair dryer.|Our room was right across from the elevator, and I was concerned it would be noisy, but we didn't notice it much once the door was closed. |The breakfast was from 7-10 on the weekends, and they actually had it set up early. There 3-5 hot items available each day, usually waffles, eggs, a meat or turkey item and biscuits / gravy. They also had a cooler with milk and yogurt. They had a coffee bar and several juice choices. There were cereal choices, bagels, toast and bananas and apples. Seating was a little limited, but we found a couple of seats every morning. |There was plenty of parking. |It is right next to a highway, which makes it convenient, and once inside the hotel we didn't really notice highway noise , except for occasionally. The room has blackout curtains, but could use a little attention. |The carpet in the elevator and hallways could really use a thorough cleaning or replacement, it is very worn.|Overall, Towneplace Suites fits the bill for a reasonably priced stay, and most of the staff make it even better. We will stay here again...

Read moreI’ve stayed at this TownePlace Suites each summer long-term for three years, accumulating over 200 nights. Once a reliable home base, it's undergone a major decline in maintenance, housekeeping, and especially management professionalism. My initial room on the third stay showed severe deferred maintenance—broken toilet, non-functioning TV, ripped dispenser, damaged frame, and a door that wouldn't shut properly unless slammed (and was thus left open by housekeeping on multiple occasions). It took weeks and multiple visits for fixes, with the toilet breaking again seven weeks in, leading to a relocation. The property also had visible exposed structural damage in common areas after a fire during my stay, which went unaddressed for weeks.
Most concerning was an interaction with the current property manager, whose approach to hospitality left me utterly baffled. Two weeks into my stay, she questioned my pre-arranged, long-honored rate, and made an unprofessional comment about my alleged financial situation, causing me to question my housing security. While she eventually agreed to honor the rate, her tone was hostile and unacceptable. Policy decisions further contribute to an uninviting atmosphere: an absurd '$1,500 fine if caught opening door! DOOR IS BROKEN' sign (yes, their broken door! - thankfully, I wasn't fined, but this still needs to be called out for what it is 😂), a separate set of passive-aggressive elevator signs warning of repair expenses (in an already barely-functional elevator), and a (misspelled) ‘no pajamas' breakfast ban. Frankly, whatever manager approved these signs/policies and allows the property to be in this state shows a clear lack of understanding of running a hospitality business; it's beyond absurd to fine (scam?) guests for your own property's disrepair.
Housekeeping, advertised as weekly with mid-week refreshes, was consistently inconsistent; with the first room, it was nearly always just towel swaps with missing essentials. Even in my relocated room, cleanings remained inconsistent, although much higher in quality (every 4ish days instead of every other). Despite all of this, the front desk staff - especially Brandon and Justin - were consistently professional and helpful, a bright spot. Overall, service and experience have declined sharply. Given the alternatives (such as a new TownePlace location in the works), I doubt that I’d return.
Pro tip: If you want guests to stay here more than once, maybe don't treat them like crap? Management in years one and two had this figured out, but this...
