A necessary warning about this hotel

There is a very real, evil, and damaging spiritual presence in this parts of this place that you can just feel. I witnessed it myself and was confirmed by a fellow traveler. Details below:

Had one of the most surreal experiences of my life here a few weeks ago. I’ve thought about it every day since. Out of town friend + their family visit unexpectedly, ended up sending them here. I doubt that any business would be able to legally function in the conditions that I witnessed personally—I had to come in to help them check in even though their names were on the reservation.

First, the reviews are true. The hotel is filthy. I immediately took my friends to the nearby Dollar General and spent $50 on bottled water, disinfectant wipes, bug spray, bleach, etc. Uninhabitable? Yes. Flies, ants, spiders, drug activity, brown water and mold—I actually got so angry that I almost cried. I was absolutely humiliated and apologized, as this was the only place with rooms that day. HOWEVER: the public needs to understand that this place is haunted by something demon like. I felt uncomfortably hot walking through the parts of the building with no a/c, but when we got to section 170, which also had no a/c—I took one step down the stairs and immediately felt a sense of dread. It got cold for about 5 seconds and the air felt very heavy. Walking down the hall to the room, even with all 5 of us, to me it felt like something was behind us. I tried to brush it off, we got inside the filthy room 172 and cleaned it some before bed.

My friend’s wife woke us up out of a dead sleep—her and the kids were dressed, the kids (5 and 8) were silently staring at the adjoining room-door across from the bed. She was calm when she woke us, but when I sat up I immediately went to get my shoes on; I am a calm person, but the irrational fear of “something being wrong” would not go away. Friend’s wife had to raise her voice at the children when telling them “let’s go”. We were all at the doorway. The kids stood staring at the top of that adjoining door.

I thought someone knocked on it or maybe even got in the room. But my friend’s wife has something apparently that they decided to keep secret, because they didn’t want to be seen as “weirdos”. She has supposedly been contacted by the dead in her sleep. But her description of what she saw in a dream that night was something I won’t forget for the rest of my life. To put in perspective…I noticed what looked like two spots on the wall that appeared to be punched out by fists. I didn’t say anything at all, because at that point, why even bother. All I will say is, that part of the wall was concrete, and when she told us what she saw in her dream, she looked me in my eyes when mentioning the significance of those same two spots.

I am atheist. I never got into the whole ghost thing, but recently it’s just been uncomfortable thinking about it. That wasn’t normal, it wasn’t a coincidence, it wasn’t magic. Something is there....

My God, the HORROR STORIES of this disgusting and decrepit property are 💯💯💯 TRUE!!!!!! I lost power at my home and after several days of living in extreme discomfort, I finally found that there were cheap rooms available here. It is not too far from my home, so I figured it couldn't be that bad ... Could it??

I booked my room for 3 nights and upon arriving to check in, I was immediately assaulted in my nostrils with an incredibly foul and nasty odor in the lobby.

After waiting for the painfully SLOW desk personnel to wait on me, I was told to view a couple of rooms and choose one.

I reserved a room with a mini fridge and a microwave oven. The first room shown to me had a filthy microwave oven with a rotten hamburger left inside of it!! I was astonished to see this but not nearly as astonished as when I found the bed with filthy sheets and upon pulling back a fitted sheet, to my HORROR I FOUND THE MATTRESS STAINED WITH BED BUG WASTE and live bed bugs crawling all along the seams of the mattress. I'm still itching after seeing this.

I brought this to the prompt attention of the clueless desk clerk of Indian descent. He just stared blankly and asked if I wanted to see the other room.

Hell No was my immediate response. 😱

Back in the hallway, another guest complained of blood stains on their bed and in their bathroom.

My goodness, this place should not be in business and the City of Wickliffe needs to SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN. I will be reporting this to the local health department.

Meanwhile, back in the lobby was a contingent of thugs and meth heads complaining to the front desk.

I immediately went back to my car and left, praying that I didn't bring any of those bed bugs with me.

I booked my reservation thru Expedia and initially was told it was non-refundable even after I shared what a reprehensible experience that this was. I did not back down until Expedia finally relented and cancelled my reservation and returned my money.

DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! Run, RUNNNNN as fast as your feet will carry you. You've been...

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. THIS IS JUST RIDICULOUS THAT THEY ARE EVEN ALLOWED TO OPERATE!!! WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT MADE A VISIT HERE??? HAD TO BE BEFORE COVID!! I HAD TO TAKE PHOTOS OF THIS BECAUSE I'M APPALLED AT THE CONDITIONS AND FALSE ADVERTISEMENT OF THIS PROPERTY AND SUPPOSED AMENITIES. FREE BREAKFAST... LIES, CLEAN... LIES, SAFE..... HIGHLY DOUBTED SINCE WE ARE GROUND LEVEL WITH A FULLY OPENING WINDOW WITH NO SCREEN. THE TOILET COMPLETELY SHIFTS AND IS NOT SEALED WHERE IT MEETS THE FLOOR. THE CARPET IS COMING OFF OF THE WALL AND HAS NOT BEEN THOROUGHLY CLEANED IN WHAT I ASSUME WOULD BE YEARS SMOKE DETECTOR COMPLETELY MISSING WITH EXPOSED WIRING. NO KNOBS TO CONTROL THE HEAT/ AC UNIT (WAS TOLD BY FRONT DESK GUY THAT HE WOULD BRING US SOME.... NEVER HAPPENED AND FURTHER MORE WHO JUST HAS AC KNOBS ON STANDBY.... MORE LIES) SHOWER RUNS ALL HOT (GLAD I CAN TOLERATE HOT WATER BUT IF I HAD MY BABY WITH ME THERE WOULD BE CAUSE FOR CONCERN) THERE IS NO PHONE IN THE ROOM SO YOU HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO USE YOUR PERSONAL PHONE TO CONTACT THE FRONT DESK (LORD HELP YOU IF YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY.) ALL OF THESE BOOKING SITES (EXPEDIA, PRICELINE, BOOKING, AIR BNB, HOPPER, TRAVELOCITY ETC) IT SHOULD BE REQUIRED AND MANDATED THAT THEY KEEP DOCUMENTATION AND DEMAND QUALITY STANDARDS FOR THE PEOPLE WHO KEEP YOU GUYS IN BUSINESS BY SPENDING OUR HARD EARNED MONEY. THEY NEED TO DO THEIR DUE DILIGENCE IN VERIFYING THESE HOTELS/ MOTELS THEY ARE AFFILIATING WITH ARE TRULY WHAT THEY CLAIM TO BE. IT'S THEIR DUTY AND IF NOT THEY WILL START TO SEE A DENT IN THEIR POCKETS AND A SHRINKING CUSTOMER BASE💯NEXT MOVE IS THE BBB THEY HAVE TO HEAR ABOUT THIS... MAYBE A CLASS ACTION BECAUSE THIS IS BECOMING ALL TOO...
