Eclectic. Free. The story of a man's life that makes the guest curious to know more. I stayed at the Bridgehouse overnight on a late June weekend and I regret that time got away from me and a didn't write a review on AirBNB within the 2 week review period. So here is my opportunity. I LOVED the Bridgehouse. It was a completely unique experience. The outside spaces and interior details told me a story of a man's life who designed the space and I could tell made every detail symbolic of his life. From the mini gemstone bottles to the beautiful plant cuttings for sale to the license plates embedded into the flooring, to the beautiful Amish furniture, the colorful artwork of the Bridgehouse and the snippets of the story of the Bridgehouse history throughout the entire home... This AirBNB did everything right, as I wanted to know more about the creative process of the artist who created the property and who wasn't afraid to share his vision and the story of his life throughout it. It was a unique experience and I loved taking the walk to the treehouse and the koi pond. In the morning I loved eating breakfast on the porch overlooking the creek and the woods. I was completely surrounded by nature and the sounds of the creek and the beating hooves of the Amish horse drawn carriages was a perfect background music. It truly beat the experience I had of other AirBNB houses, that were clean but stuffy, with no story behind the houses. This was an experience that left us wanting to know more, and made me want to interview the artist behind the house and property. The stay was truly unique experience I will never forget. I stayed in the Bridge House and it was one of the most unique and magical experiences I’ve ever had. The entire place feels like it’s straight out of a fairytale — somewhere between The Hobbit and Alice in Wonderland. The decor is whimsical, creative, and full of surprises. I truly felt like I had stepped into another world.

The house itself is cozy, warm, and full of charm. The main room has a large, super comfortable bed (the pillows were amazing!) and I fell asleep to the sound of the river flowing — such a peaceful feeling. The light in the morning can be a bit strong if you're used to sleeping in total darkness (like we often do in France), but nothing major.

The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped, with everything you need to cook comfortably. I loved starting my day on the large balcony, having breakfast outside while listening to the river below — pure bliss.

There’s also a second bedroom in the back (no windows — which gives it a cozy “bunker” vibe) and a small lounge area. The bathroom is small but functional, and the place was spotless — cleanliness 10/10.

What makes this place even more special is their intentional approach to disconnecting: no WiFi, no TV. It’s meant to be a true break from screens and distractions. And it works. I felt rested, grounded, and inspired — like I could finally breathe.

Access was easy, with clear instructions sent a few days before, and parking is right next to the house. I also had the chance to meet the owners, who were super kind and welcoming.
