Came up for a 4 day stay while giving family a ride up to Rome, PA. Can't complain about the room. A nornal king-size room, average for one person. Average TV size, lights, shower, fridge, and microwave. It is very clean like you'd expect from most hotels. The front desk was always there if I needed them and very friendly and knowledgeable. The WiFi is a little weak or dead at times, which is my own little little own pet peeves since I brought a Roku. Other than that, a good hotel that's great value for price, better pricing than the hotel maybe a mile down the street. Would stay again if I had to travel to northern Pennsylvania again. Just remember, there are only a few convenience stores nearby, again not being from Pennsylvania. I don't know everything around here, so make sure to pull up your map on your phone. This hotel is located maybe 30-45 minutes from a casino that is in New York and from a good amount of other activities. But as far as the hotel, I had no problems and enjoyed my stay.

Advertised as having pool, room was set at 66 degrees and couldn't turn off the fan or air conditioning ( new battery need to be installed) TV wouldn't turn on and electrical plug in needed to be fixed. The free morning breakfast...I thought there was oatmeal only to find out it was a sausage gravy which had seperated. I then took a small Danish, one bite and it was stale and dry. The coffee was from a machine that served an instant coffee. You can see on the sign by the pool that it's been closed since 2020,( when asked they said it needs repairs.) Will never stay there OR suggest this place to anyone.

Recently stayed there while on a road trip Good location, clean room, nice facilities, friendly & helpful staff and a good breakfast. They even had bottled alcoholic beverages on hand, so you didn't have to run out to grab one. Plenty of restaurants and stores nearby. I forgot a chain & dog tag that had sentimental value to me, and they got a hold of me that same day and offered to mail it to me - Thank you, Beth!

I stayed here with my family for a work trip twice in a one week period.

The hotel is over all clean upon arrival. We had pets traveling with us, and upon check in for my first stay, they gave us dog treats and a letter addressed to my pets as a breakdown of rules for them, which I thought was very cute.

The staff were overall friendly. Mostly clean rooms. THE POOL IS NOT OPEN! and they have no intentions in getting it fixed which needs to be accommodated in the price.

They hold money off your card with no warning other then a sign posted.

The first time we stayed they took an extra night from our account. So an additional $120 from our account. When we spoke with them they said it was deposit and would be back on our card within 7-10 business days.

This made us leave and go to another hotel that ended up being a worse experience, so we ended up back at this hotel for a second stay.

Upon check in for the second time, we did not get the treats with the pet breakdown.

However, by the end of the night, I checked my card and saw they took an additional $300 from us.

When I asked about the funds and demanded they be returned immediately, I was told they don’t hold funds. I pointed to the sign that states that they do, and they said “oh well we can’t give it back until you check out.”

I showed frustration over the missing money from my account and was asked to leave.

The rooms themselves are over all clean, how ever the tub is unsafe and there is mold beginning in the bathroom ceiling. Not nearly as bad as other locations, but it is a start and enough to make recommend you stay else where.

Riverstone Inn is owned by the same people, and they have a serious mold problem at that location as well (much worse than this location).

There are better hotels in the area, I would avoid this one so money does not come out of your account. Multiple co-workers had the same problem, so this is something they do often. I’m still waiting for all of my money to...

Another outstanding stay at Comfort Inn this is our third time coming back. We would not stay anywhere else when my family and I visit my husband’s father in Towanda, PA. What makes this hotel so wonderful… the people that work there. Bridget Rice, the general manager continues to make the Comfort Inn an exceptional hotel. Bridget is welcoming to guests and treats all the employees with respect. Every morning there was enough breakfast no matter what time the guests entered the dining area. Joyce who made breakfast had a welcoming smile and gave us anything we needed. It was a pleasure to eat breakfast at the hotel with great food and a friendly atmosphere. Also tea and coffee available 24 hours! The rooms were always cleaned and I could see that the housekeepers worked very hard to make this happen. Last, but not least I wanted to add that Diane and Beth also helped us with anything we needed. They were never annoyed including the two new people (new to us) that work at the front desk, by our requests. They did everything with a happy attitude. If we needed a towel, a blanket, shampoo or ideas of things we could do in this area, they did not think twice about helping us as well as Joyce. They made us feel right at home and we felt like we were never a bother to them. I can see why this hotel is a Gold Winner. If you are coming to this area, do not stay at any other hotel in Towanda except for the...

I am originally from the area and we came back to visit family, but this was my first time staying at this property. We unfortunately encountered a very uncomfortable and strange situation that caused us to check out a day early and transfer hotels. My mother in-law was relaxing in the lobby and the front desk receptionist approached her some time after 10 pm and said her house was five minutes away and she needed to go home and asked my mother in law if she could give her a ride home. My mother in law said sorry I don’t have a car. The lady told her to ask her son (my husband), she answered sorry he is sleeping. The lady then continued to ask her to wake him up and ask him to take her to her house. My mother in law said sorry I can’t help you and the lady said that’s fine no problem, end of conversation. I told my mother in law to come back to the room and I believe the front desk woman did leave, but am not certain. The whole situation made us very uncomfortable and was completely unprofessional that she would pressure a hotel guest for a ride. The situation also felt unsafe and I felt bad that my mother in laws first impression of my home town was this interaction, as I know it to be a safe and friendly place. Luckily the next morning they were understanding at the front desk and apologized, but you still can’t undo this first impression and I felt it was important to let corporate know of...
