Econo Lodge Yazoo City — Hotel in Yazoo City

I am the GM at Econolodge and want to clarify some of these false allegations with Matthew Mcgarvey who was a guest but was caught smoking and doing drugs on the property. HE WAS BANNED AND NO REFUND. HE was aggressive and threatening staff after he was told this is a NON SMOKING FACILITY! Smoking marijuana in the hallway and damaged the property. Law Enforcement was called and he was put out due to the threats he made. Making false allegations on a staff member family is defamation! OUR HOTEL IS SAFE SMOKE AND DRUG FREE! We have cameras all around the property inside and out and are HEAVILY MONITORED 24/7. He was upstairs on the second floor on the opposite side of the building which is fence off surrounding the pool area lol so NOONE would be peeping in on you they would have to have had a ladder lol... dont make false allegations charges will be pressed we have the whole scenario recorded and has been reviewed by the authorities.

Nelson Portillo, I am not sure who you are we do not have a registered guest by this name. Far as me "swearing" i am not sure what you are referring to i dont swear i speak to all my guest in a friendly matter and try to resolve any issue you or any of my guest. how i speak around my children has nothing to do with my duty or the hotel. Children see and hear things way worse than "swearing".

chompythedino and jdxd3152 u are husband and wife mad because you made a reservation for 2 adults and 1 small child came in after 9pm but tried bringing in grown sons and had to pay the extra fee and refused so they were not allowed in the facility.

chris smith, we are sorry for the inconvenience, the clothing on a staff was due to painting the outside property. Our staff is well dressed and FRIENDLY. We would like to hear about the overall experience of the rooms and property rather than the clothing of our hardworking and dedicated staff. We want all our guest to have a positve and safe stay so they can rest easy. Again we are sorry for all the negative and false allegations but we are in process of renovating and improving each and everyday! We hope to see and hear of the postive feedback for our guest as we are welcoming and appreciating business from our valued...

We stayed here as passing through for a 10 day vacation with our teens. Between checking in and grabbing our luggage, we were told we were moved to another room. Of course it was upstairs with 60 pound bags with no elevator so that was a little irritating. The halls are warm and stuffy with a smell and the room wasn't much better. You could tell this was once a smoking room and although no longer, it smelled terrible. Around the toilet was either dirty or stained yellow and the tub didn't drain so we showered in about 3 inches of our own water. The pillows were slightly larger than a folder and I used both of them so my husband ran down to request another. They spoke another language, laughed then handed it to him. To me, that is rude even if it was about the customer or not. We checked out by 7am just to get out of there. I should have spent a little more $ at another hotel for a better smell if nothing else. There was a fridge and microwave in the room but the fridge hadn't been plugged in so it wouldn't do anyone good for one night. The bed wasn't comfortable and the floors were dirty in our room. There was a pool which appeared clean. They placed us right over the pool and we could hear the kids yelling from our room. Location was great but the parking...

The young American girl who checked us in was very nice ,even moved her car from front of hotel to give us a spot in the front All other parking is way in the back or on the sides of the hotel and it is poorly lit She did make sure our room was on the ground floor as we had requested when we booked the room months earlier..Our problems began the next morning ,we got up very early to eat breakfast before we headed to Jackson .There was all most nothing on the breakfast bar .When my husband ask them about it ,he was told they(the hotel ) only put Biscuits and Gravy out "one time ,you eat cereal, and get coffee. Some juice left " We ate at the Mc Donalds down the road .VERY VERY Rude ..all so the gentleman and a lady were speaking , in a what I believe was Pakistan and laughing .You got the feeling it was at you ..When my husband told them we were checking out ,we were told they would be charging our debit card and ,after some argument my husband paid in cash ,and immediately called our bank in Arkansas to flag our account that no charges were accepted .. We had planned on staying two or three nights.The pool is on the ground floor and the lobby reeked of chlorine.. The room was ok at least it was clean ,but the noise from the ground floor...
