Days Inn by Wyndham Yazoo City — Hotel in Yazoo City

Update stayed this past April, and I arrived at night. I was given three different rooms, and all was dirty. Due to the time I reached it was after 9pm. had two special needs kids with me. I ended up taking the least dirty room and cleaned it myself. The room had not been clean took me roughly 30 to 40 mins to clean. Tub had dirt and hair, sink had hair, microwave had food stuck in it, chair in the room stain with food, the beds had hair and stain on the sheet, the toilet had urine running down, floor in the bathroom was nasty once cleaned with white towel the towel had black and yellow stain the yellow stains was from urine that was on the floor around the base of the toilet as if the room was recently used and bed was just mad up nothing was done. The bathroom floor couldn't have been clean for a long time with the amount of dirt on it. I forgot about my past review till owner just replied. I have ask for accommodation for having to clean room. I was told by the manager she had to contact the owner called several times no solution now I see the owner respond to prior review. Having a hotel charging over a hundred a night a guest shouldn't have to clean some sort of accommodation should be given staff was paid to clean the room yet didnt. Had to clean a room to sleep for a few hours when I was already tired from 12hour drive. My review below is from 5 months ago. I feel that if the owner can respond to a five month old review, surely the recent stay should be addressed. I gave you all another chance, but it was worse than the first time. Almost three weeks haven't heard from the manager after calling several times. I understand she can't accommodate without owner approval. To get no update and see that the owner took the time to respond to a five month old review hasn't addressed the issue from last month is frustrating. Review below is from 5 months. Didn't get pictures of toilet I didn't see the urine running down the front of the toilet till I started spraying cleaning solution then I smelled it immediately started cleaning it I wasn't touching my phone while cleaning but seeing the dirt in the tub is enough to know the bathroom wasn't clean. The rags and towel in the floor from me cleaning you zoom in you can see the dirty rag that was white before cleaning. This review 5 months ago my experience this time was worse. Use for quick night stay few issues with room the bathroom wasn't clean properly hair was all over the toilet and tub. The toilet was clogged, but the front desk staff offered to move me. However, I had already cleaned unpack drove 7 hours was tired. I asked for a plunger, and the front desk staff brought it and plung it herself left it with me. That was the only major issue. The breakfast could've been better. The options were slim. However, it's free, so you can make due. Just wish the room was cleaner. I stopped staying with this brand years ago due to poor cleaning. Though this room wasn't clean properly, it wasn't bad, had no oders, and the carpet wasn't filthy. It wasn't a bad stay. It's located near several reasturants. I'll stay again just to ensure I check the bathroom to ensure it's clean and working properly before I unpack. The price was reasonable. Staff was very accommodating and will give them...

I've been coming here for the last 4 years and every year it gets worse. The employees are awesome but the owner is horrible. The first problem we had a few years back with we got here and our key didn't work to our door and they couldn't redo it so every time we wanted to get into our room we had to go up to the office and get the main key intercourse they didn't compensate us anything for that. Also stayed in her room that when I walked across the carpet after changing and putting clean clothes on my socks were black from walking on the carpet and the floor. Now this time will be my last time here. I was told I could check in at 2:00 got here at 1:45 and I was told I couldn't check in till 2:00 which is fine check-in time is 2:00. But then I was informed it would take them a lot longer to clean the room I was in so it would be more like 2:30 before I could get in well again they didn't want to compensate me any money for not being able to get in on the timely manner. I was not able to get into that room so by about a 2:45 they gave me a different room still no compensation on the price. Then I get in the room and I find out the TV is not working so I call and ask about that and their answer was....... oh the owner forgot to pay the satellite bill so we have no TV to watch at all couldn't even get regular channels. Can I get the water to drain out of the bathtub of course there's nothing they can do about it. I was told no compensation for not being able to have the things that you're supposed to have when you pay for a hotel room. This room I was in had a major odor of mildew or mold I don't know which. When I told them about the smell and how bad it was when checking out a few minutes ago they just shrug their shoulders at me. You don't have much choices in Yazoo City Mississippi for hotels. So it looks like the next time I come this way I'm going to have to stay at least an hour or so away to find a decent hotel. Again I want to state that the staff is really nice and has always been very nice. They just have an owner that is not willing or does not want to help maintain this hotel. Like I said when I started staying here about 3 years ago it was only about $89 a room. Yes I understand everything has gone up in price but $ 134 for a room that you can't get into on time it's not very clean and it smells horrible in the room, water won't drain out of tub, and no TV. Horrible experience, when I arrived everything was OK later I notice a floor full ants. I called the front desk spoke with Dori the manager she said she had some heavy duty spray that would take care of it, she was aware that I had in the room but said it was OK, I was visiting do to a funeral so I never was in the room Only slept there late a night. I paid for four nights on the second night I came back to the room there where ants all on top of the sink counter area and roaches in the bathroom, I called again to the front desk and they sent someone to spray the counters and said I needed to wipe them down after awhile. Woah I'm the guess, I just paid my money and I have to clean it. So the remaining days I spent angry because no one tried to help my situation, another young lady was on duty and agreed that my room problems where no right but she was not able to do anything only the manager could help so she called Dori and told her I was there and upset about the problems, all she said was I can't do anything about did anyone tell me that the orkin guy was out spraying before I arrived, if I knew that who would still stay there. I was furious but I remained calm. No not stay, go to the Hampton inn its worth the few extra bucks. I mean I didn't get an apology, a discount, partial refund or anything I paid 274 dollars and had a horrible stay. Man Management skill Dori, you need a class on customer service.
