This was written in reply to their “How was your stay” email. I never received any correspondence from them.||I can’t begin to describe how disappointed and dissatisfied I am in the poor reception staff at Yazoo City Hampton Inn. I went to check in and was told the “system was down” and had been for 2 hours. I was told it was a new system and the staff was given no instructions. She (I asked for a name and it sounded like she said Janique. ). For the sake of clarity I will use the email name JANKZ. JANKZ said she couldn’t check anyone in or show a room. I was asked to write down info on a printed form with credit card information and she would enter into in the system when it came back up. I filled out the info, and told her I wanted the paper back after she was able to get it in the system. It looked as though there were other people that were being checked in okay. (Possibly already had reservations? ) She said we could try to run the card. It showed Amount owed $1.00. I offered to pay cash but was told they do not accept cash. She had no key, but let us in the room.About 20 minutes later I was asked to fill out the form again. When I inquired as to why she needed another, she said she she ripped it up (not shredded, ripped) by mistake. I asked her for the ripped paper and she gave it to me. I filled it out again and she ran the card again with the same result: Amount owed $1. I asked why it would charge a dollar each time it was run and JANKZ said I don’t know, it’s all new to me. She called her manager or supervisor and told her “It keeps asking for a dollar each time and he don’t want to pay it.” I could clearly hear her boss say, “ Then tell him he can leave! Get the key back! We’ll call it a ‘dirty room’.” Now, my wife is already in bed, we had driven from KCMO. We are in our 60s and I knew it was not safe to continue. I told receptionist I don’t want to leave I just want to check in. I reminded her that I wanted the paper back at check out. She said okay.||The next morning, I checked out and asked her for a receipt. JANKZ said , “I emailed it to you.” I told her that she could not have because she didn’t have my email addy. JANKZ said, “Well then, write it down!” I wrote it down and I asked for a business card for the hotel and was told “they don’t do that here”. I asked her the amount that would be on my credit card. She said she couldn’t tell me for sure but it was the room price plus the dog fee. I asked her for the paper that my info was on, she said I ripped it up in tiny pieces and threw it away. I stood there for a moment, and she said, “We are done here!”. |||When I go out to leave, my wife asks to look at the receipt to see what they charged for the dog. When I told her I didn’t get one, that it would be emailed, she went in to ask for some kind of proof. A written receipt or something. She was told, “I TOLD him it will be emailed. I got to learn how to work this system! I can’t give you a receipt! “ My wife asked if she checked the room. We had a dog and the room was left just just as we found it, so we wanted to make sure we were not charged another fee. My wife asked can you just give me a signed note that shows the balance that will be on the card. My wife was told, “no like I said it will be emailed.”||The receipt or folio (which did not specify how the bill was paid) was indeed emailed that day. And by the way, this was the most expensive room I have paid for. I even got one across from Gulf Shores beach Comfort Inn for less than the $236.27 that I paid for being treated like dirt!||By the way, as of writing this, it is still not showing up on my credit card. I’m really hoping that my information was not in any way compromised! So when JANKZ ripped up the information and tore it into tiny pieces and threw it away, do you not think that some one can put it together enough to figure out the credit card info, or at least my address?||I know help is hard to find. But if this is how you allow some of your employees to treat SOME of your customers, (yes I observed some being treated much nicer than me. ) And I’m a very nice guy to everyone 🙂 , it reflects badly on the entire Hilton.||I hope they get the training they need as well as how to treat the people that make it so they can...
Read moreI stayed here for a day reunion. The service was terrible. They're suppose to replace towels and make the beds. They took the dirty towels and didn't leave any new towels. I had to go get my own from the front desk. They also didn't make the bed. The next day I saw the cleaning lady. I thought to myself great, today they'll at least make the bed and replace some things. Not only did they make the beds, they put ALL of my belongings OUTSIDE the door. They saw someone with our same family reunion shirts on and told them to take our bags. I had the room booked for 3 nights and they put my things out and gave them to someone they thought we knew. Luckily, I did know them. When we got back that night I had to go without my bags because the person we knew didn't come back until THE NEXT DAY. I told the woman and the front desk and she saw I had the room booked for one more night. She couldn't understand why they put our bags out. When I finally received my things a noticed something was missing. Whomever packed my things and sat them outside stole my phone charger. I was without my phone because I couldn't charge it that night and I had to choose between making a 10 hour trip back home without my phone or buy a new phone charger. This is by far the worst service I've received at a hotel and I will not be back. I will also tell anyone I know never to stay here. You're better off going to the next town than to stay at this place. I wish I could give it a -5 star review. PATHETIC.
The only good thing about this place is they have a microwave and a...
Read moreI really liked the stay we work all over the country from state to state we always get the Suite rooms with a pull out sofa being it's 3 adults the only problem I had was getting the bed clothing for the pull out I asked if the pull out bedding clothes was in the room I was told it was but it wasn't my coworker went down to get the pull out clothing they would only 2 fitted sheets 2 pillows 4 pillow covers and 1 thin blanket they would give a comforter for some reason my coworkers sleep with the ac on no matter how cold it is outside as for myself I need to stay warm and a thin blanket didn't address that the second night I was able to get a comforter it was a minor inconvenience but was resolved which shouldn't have been an issue to begin with, when you have 3 adults checking in and ask for a comforter and pillows for the pull out it shouldn't be a problem but for some reason this time it was when guests such as us come in we have usually drove 5 hours and worked 4 hours in the same day we are tired already and shouldn't have to go through that it's bedding clothing after all we just want to be comfortable and get a good nights sleep not arguing...
