While Brice was the gentleman that took my reservation earlier in the day; it was Manager (Miss) Kim that received me that evening. I was on one of the remaining legs of a two week motorcycle ride through several states. The day gave way to darkness when I checked in with 425 tough miles behind me; and, looking forward to some rest. The pool was closed up. The carpet was well used and clean enough. I wasn't going to sleep on it. The AC/Heating unit was old and operating well enough; but, I had no plans to sleep on it. The television entertained me. The bathroom/shower provided me with a place to freshen up. The furnishings afforded a flat surface to lay out my things. I wasn't about to rest my weary head upon them. The BED, PILLOWS, AND COVERINGS, however, were clean and comfortable - just what the doctor ordered. No breakfast included; yet, the in room coffee maker supplied me with two cups of move, so I could start my day in the morning. I am a US Veteran. I've learned to ask for recognition in the form of a small token savings. I'm grateful, more than anybody could know for that. I've discovered most places will participate either gladly (or even grudgingly, I suppose). $7.50 would've have gone straight into my fuel tank. The Monticello Inn declined. I didn't spend an arm and a leg. The folks were nice to me. Anyone on a moto ride should consider this place if they're passing...
Read moreFirst of all when I arrive for check in and i say âhello.how are you?â I didnât get a very nice friendly response and tone from her. Front desk need to write entire Driver License information. I never seen that before.
I was able to park my car in front of my hotel room. The location was good because it was close to many different store and restaurants. In my room i do get folder with lists of restaurants nearby, channels, things to do, and information. That helps me. Monticello Inn offer NO BREAKFAST INCLUDE.
My room was ok, but not a great experience. I personally believe it was a good one night and reasonable cost to pay. The bed wasnât comfortable at all. It felt like sleeping on that bed in 80âs time. The room is kind of clean but except i see couple of dead insect. Eeewww gross.
I have a hard time figure out a way to get a nice warm water to take a shower. The shower handle have to be at certain amount of turn to get right temperature i want. Sometime I get really hot water or kind of cold water. That was fun experiment for me to get right temperature.
WIFI is SSSOO PATHETIC and WEAK. I have a hard time finding their WiFi network username. Once i get their username and enter the password their WiFi signal is terrible. Once awhile it will work or has super weak signal.
TV work great and get good amounts of channels to watch.
AC work fine. It is very old ac, but run...
Read moreI stayed at this Inn on January 15, 2018. I had reserved a room for the 15 and 16. The reason I had booked the room for 2 nights was I knew that I would be in a meeting the 16 at checkout time of 11:00 AM. The only good thing that came from the whole experience was the fantastic diner across the street. It is named âMiss Monticello Dinerâ. The food was excellent, the staff pleasant and the cost ideal. When I returned to my room water was pouring down from the bathroom ceiling. I ran to the office and told the manager and he found that the tub in the room over mine was overflowing . They said that they would mop up the water and did I want to stay in the room or move. I moved. The next room when they opened the door there was a giant heart shaped tub in the middle of the room. No soap, no towels no ice bucket or anything in the bathroom and, the TV did not work. They are doing some renovations but they should have...
