Gosty Hotel Comfort — Hotel in Samarkand City

The hotel is closed to rail station and 4 minutes walk. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. Even though rooms and everything else is good, there were ridiculous things about payments. At check in, i was asked for a deposit around $10. It was said this deposit is in case if the customer harms or damage something from the room. At check out, the staff inspected and there was no damage or whatsoever. But I still didn't get the deposit back and I was informed it is a non refundable deposit. I never heard such kind of deposit and logically doesn't make sense. The room rate was high compared to hotels around the area and taking another deposit on top of it. It is cheating people money. Also, I recommend anyone who stays here not to pay by card as there is a huge fee as well. Also, it was difficult to communicate with staff as the English is not that good and doesn't understand...

Personally, I think this hotel offers the best quality, not only in Samarkand but also compared to other hotels in Uzbekistan. When I told I couldn't have the breakfast buffet because I had to catch early train, the hotel prepared a meal box for me. Samarkand Station is less than a 10-minute walk away. There's a bazzar behind the hotel, and there are plenty of shops nearby, making it a great location for buying...

The location, just next to the train station is just great! My train arrived at 1am and the check-in at this time was absolutely no problem. The kind man at the reception welcomed me very friendly.
