Totally recommended! We stayed here for 3 nights on 2 trips. Very spacious room, new hotel and comfortable bed to sleep. Super clean and extremely easy of you arrive in Samarqand by train or need to leave Samarqand by train. The hotel is just outside the train station. Walking will take 1 minute. If you arrive to Samarqand, exit the train station, turn left and walk along the perimeter of the station and you will see Old Station Hotel in front of you. Stay here because there’s restaurant around, market, convenience store, Korzinka (a supermarket) money changer and many options within walking distance. Also, we stayed here because the Tram station is just 1 minute walk from the hotel. The tram cost 2000 Som only and there are 2 routes. Route No. 2 (it display number 2 on the tram) goes to Siyab Bazar. From Siyab Bazar, we are able to walk to Shah I-Zinda, Khizir Mosque, Bibi Khanym, hop on a buggy to Registan square. We also walked to the Ulug Beg Observatory, St Daniel tomb, museum and Afrosiyob settlement archeology site. The manager Shakhriyor is very polite and helpful. They make sure nothing is lack during our stay. Free bottled water in the room everyday. Breakfast is tasty and delicious. We will definitely return to stay here for all the convenient and comfort. Knowing that there’s free wifi in the room, shower is great, and our trip to Samarqand was very easy and memorable. Oh they also invited us to dinner when they cook Plov for every guests at the hotel. According to them, whenever there’s many guests, they will cook Plov and serve everyone. They also show how the Plov is cooked. That’s an added advantage and gave us extra experience while in Samarqand. I hope this review would help anyone who is trying to find assurance of this hotel. This is my honest review and not paid for. The only downside is they don’t have elevator, only stairs. But wide and short staircase. You may request a room at the ground floor (reception level) if taking the stairs is a problem. Other than that, we sleep well. The sound of the train passing doesn’t wake us up, the hotel is quiet and calm for relaxing. High ceiling too makes the room...
