Turon Lux Hotel — Hotel in Samarkand City

We stayed there for 2 nights. The staff was very polite and friendly.

The hotel is average for its price. Some reviews are misleading.

There's a lot of things to be improved: rooms lack basic things, such as toothbrush holders in the bathroom, basic cups and cutlery (which were given only on request) although there was a kettle in the room there was no accessible TV channels (only Smart TV where guests could only connect to their personal Netflix accounts) wi-fi connection was extremely poor. Internet worked properly only on the ground floor the swimming pool was not usable. As told by the hotel staff, it was working 24/7 and was heated to 33 degrees. In reality, it didn't seem clean and the water hardly reached 26 degrees (there was a thermometer). There was no shower around the pool. breakfasts were ok but could be richer. There was no coffee machine. location was a big disappointment for us. We had to take a 15 minutes taxi drive each time we wanted to go to the historical center. The hotel was very close to train station 5min and 15min to airport by taxi. The guys at reception speaking English fluently, and helpful. They have supported us for the taxi organisations, great thanks. The hotel was boutique, new, clean and comfortable, and has a very lovely garden in the middle. The coffee machine was same of my house, especially because of this reason I felt at home... Breakfast was enough, (for sure everyone has different type of expectations) for me more cheese options than 4 star hotel we have stayed previously. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in while visiting Samarkand. The breakfast is absolutely exceptional – a wide variety of teas and coffees are available. Coming from Turkey, I can say the selection was truly impressive, and I could find every type of coffee I wanted, including a perfect Americano. The breakfast was delicious and of very high quality.

The hotel staff are extremely friendly and hospitable, making me feel completely at home. In terms of comfort, service, and hospitality, this hotel exceeded my expectations.
