Hotel Đá Nhớ — Hotel in Đồng Văn Town

This hotel is fairly basic but is well located near the centre of town, next to the market & represents great value for money. Our room was compact but the heater worked well, which was a bonus on a cold winter's day & the small shower room was well designed so that we could shower without soaking the whole room. The bed was large & took up most of the room but we found it to be too hard although we understand this to be normal for the north. ||||The hotel does not do meals but the restaurant next door was fine & there are several other good spots to eat within easy walking distance. During our extended stay in Dong Van we stayed in a couple of very good hotels, the first of which was the Hotel Da Nho. Check in was quick and efficient and Ðing (the receptionist) gave us advice on how to get the special permit that tourists are required to have when in this area of Vietnam.||Our room was on the 5th floor and we were pleasantly surprised to find a lift up to it. Clean, affordable (350k for 2 bedroom room), and friendly staff. Central location, next to the market. The restaurant next door was delicious and turned into a bit of a party bar after we ate!
