So, we were a quarter of the way around the world from Rome. Having sustained ourselves on nothing but rice and noodles for the past week as we passed by Roma in Dong Van. The promise of a good pizza was damn near too good to be true at this point.
Against our better judgements we entered the premises of the only Italian restaurant in a 600 kilometre radius and ordered a half Tropicale half Quattro Staggioni to devour on sight with a big water.
Dasani being Dasani we sipped on our water while chatting to the owner Phi, a 5 year restaurant owner who shared stories of the fragrant flower fields of Ha Giang as we patiently awaited the cheesy goodness promised.
Once the pizza arrived the dough was obviously painstakingly homemade with a delightful crust and heaps of cheese. The capers, which were the last thing I expected to find on the frontier of Vietnam tasted just like the ones my uncle would trade for a carton of smokes with the lighthouse watchman in Croatia. A truly authentic pizza experience in the least likely location.
6/5 stars if I could, too hungry to take a photo. Just go...

Unfortunately the reason I won’t give five stars is the service, the waiter it was extremely arrogant and rolling his eyes when I was making some questions which is extremely rude, what a shame to have such good quality food served but the service to be awful. The prices...

My friend and me decided to go somewhere else for dinner. After we left, we paid for our beers, but our friends still stayed there to finish their meal. The waiter tried to put our beers on their bill. Our friends were protesting against it. After our friends contacted us, the waiter gave a new bill.
The place is a TOURIST TRAP AND SCAMS EVERYONE!!! The bill will be also 10% higher then expected, because they put 10% taxes and service fee on top!Overpriced and horrible!!!! AVOID...
