Khách sạn Hàm Luông — Hotel in Bến Tre City

Have stayed at Ham Luong many times. We're staying again while visiting our family in Ben Tre. This is a nice 3 star hotel, comfortable and clean. It's directly across from the Ham Luong River, which is a nice jump-off point for a river excursion in the beautiful Mekong Delta. We only had a small problem this time around. We'd asked for a room with a river view, for which we were willing to pay more. When we got to our room, we found it too low to see the river and a tent also blocked the view. We asked for and were given another room that did have a better view. I've probably stayed at Ham Luong dozens of times over the years and one other suggestion I would make is to keep the tile floors throughout the hotel. This time around, both the initial room and subsequent room we were offered had carpeted floors. It's been my experience in the past that every room had tiled floors, which always present as much cleaner "feeling" than carpeted floors--a minor complaint. Overall, a very nice hotel in a great location. I wholeheartedly recommend whether you are a visitor from another part of Vietnam or a foreigner visiting...

Attended a large event here at the hotel - service at the event was impeccable. Convenient location, right across the river and walking distance to street markets, eateries, and groceries. Priced competitively to others in the same area and along the river. Seemed to be an older facility, so expect dated decorations and amenities. Stayed in a two bedroom room - clean, open, with tall windows, a fridge, tv, and ac. When needed, service was good. Smooth, fast wifi. Cơ sở vật chất đã cũ kỹ, kiến trúc chắp vá, thang máy nội địa ko chuẩn lại nhỏ nên ko đủ sức đưa đón khách. Phòng cũ, ko sạch sẽ, mọi thứ đều cũ và hư hỏng, nước ko chảy. Khăn tắm, drap, mền, gối đều cũ và ko sạch sẽ.

Điểm tâm buffet thật chán chường, ko có gì thay đổi suốt nhiều năm với các món ko ngon. Muốn ra ăn các món nóng sốt hơn, cafe ngon hơn ở quán bên ngoài thì phải trả tiền.

Nhân viên lễ tân khá cứng nhắc kiểu trại lính, nói kiểu như "qui định là qui định", khách phải chấp nhận, ko thì ra. Lại thu giữ giấy tờ của khách trong suốt thời gian lưu trú, vi phạm qui định của Chính phủ. Tuy nhiên, nhân viên phục vụ phòng và vệ sinh là những nguời chịu khó nhất, dễ thương nhất của khách sạn.

Giá cả ko dễ chịu, khá mắc so với những gì du khách được nhận. Có lẽ khách sạn gốc quốc doanh này chỉ phục vụ được khách đoàn đi công tác. Còn du khách thì nên đi...
