The key thing to remember about hotel star ratings is they're not a guarantee of quality; instead they are just a confirmation of certain facilities being accounted for on a prerequisite checklist. Unfortunately, the standard of service along with the facilities at this hotel bring across a clumsiness that is not found in other experiences of the same calibre.

Let me begin with the positives: For the most part this hotel conveys grandeur that no other hotel in the area seems to do - a sign of luxury, and in turn potential quality. It is mostly clean and there was minimal indication of breach by pests that can characterise the streets outside. Even on the highest floors, with large paned single glazed windows, the traffic noise is mostly suppressed (more so than in Saigon) just about suiting a demanding light sleeper. Beds are comfortable with firm mattresses and pillows, whilst being well serviced with daily changes for cleanliness. Hot water is constant and the shower even has a good and consistent pressure to enable a satisfying start to a morning. Facilities like a safe, kettle, TV with a handful of English speaking channels, and a hair dryer are all very welcome modern comforts. The buffet breakfast served 6:30-9:30 has a vast amount of food, if somewhat biased towards oriental tastes - there's not a lot for vegetarians here beyond egg, toast, lettuce and watermelon but English labels help form a sense of cultural connection. The hotel has an excellent location that makes it standout with easy access to the middle of town. If you're here for a couple of days, this place is a great choice for accessing BMT's minimal offerings of shops and the handful of tourist destinations.

Now for the aspects that really let it down. By far the biggest gripe during my stay was with the staff: checking in in the afternoon and faced with six individuals behind the counter, I found only one was capable of conversing in decent English. Minimal information was given about my stay and I nearly found myself interrogating them about each of the facilities I was originally excited about using. It was also strange that reception took my passport hostage for a number of days, although this can be forgiven considering it seems to be a convention imposed by the Vietnamese government whichever hotel you're staying at. In terms of the service for my room, the cleaner forgot to replace towels in my bathroom which proved frustrating. Cleaniness within the room was questionable as the chair upholstery was markedly stained in my room. 75% of the table lights didn't work. In-room WiFi was very slow at an average of 5Mb down/up. The design of the bathroom was poor too with showers unable to contain water from spilling out creating a hazardous slippery hard surface. This together with gilded Soviet-era décor in common areas added to the coldness of the place along with neglected exercise facilities like the pool area really put this hotel's standing in a sub-par position compared to better brands.

I'm inclined to have sympathy for this place - Buôn Ma Thuôt hardly receives tourists; and yet here this building stands in defiance of the status quo of temporary accommodation prolific across the town. Like the proud landmark it accompanies at the nearby roundabout, it brushes shoulders with greatness as the tallest building in the area desperately seeking attention to exclaim this little town's modernity. And yet it falls tragically short of the essential qualities that would give it an excellent hotel experience and put a smile on a guest's face. There needs to be more done to raise the quality of service for this to challenge the western brand names it unmistakably is trying to imitate.

Thấy 4 sao và giá tiền cũng không rẻ nên cứ nghĩ sevice chắc ko tệ mặc dù đã thấy 1 số review đánh giá ko tốt . book và thanh thanh toán trươc luôn 1 lèo 4 ngày ở ks này, và đúng là thật quá tệ. 1 khâu tiếp đón : khu vực sảnh đậu xe khách sạn xe cộ đậu tràn lan rất khó ra vô, hôm minh check in là có 1 phái đoàn nào đang đến hơi lộn xộn nen cái này chấp nhận dc. Thông thương ở các ks 4 sao sẽ có nhân viên hướng dẫn từ xa khi bắt đầu quẹo vô. Còn ở đây thì sẽ có 1 chú bảo vệ đứng chỉ chỏ. Bảo tấp luôn bên kia lề đường mà ko cân hỏi là tui đi đâu làm gì. Phải đậu xe bên kia đương và chạy vào khách sạn check in. Sau khi check in xong thì hỏi đậu xe ở đâu cũng dc hướng dẫn bla bla… tạm ok. Sau đó mình ra đánh xe vào. Hỡi ôi…Xe cộ ra vô tấp nập mà ko có bất kỳ ai ra điều tiết ( có mỗi chú bảo vệ đứng như kiêu đứng gác ) . Vào đến sảnh thì xe đậu ngang xe đậu dọc. Cũng chả thấy ai ra phụ mở cưa hay đẩy xe xách đồ ( ks 4 sao thì hâu như bạn chạy xe vào thì sẽ có người nhẹ nhàng mở cửa và hỗ trợ hành lý ). Một khung cảnh hỗn loạn xe trưỡc thì đứng xe sau thi bấm còi inh ỏi. Phải chay vào lễ tân nói 2 3 lần thì mới có một chú và kèm 1 bảo vệ chạy ra hỗ trợ cũng đỡ là chú hỗ trợ hành lý và anh bảo vệ cung dễ thường nhiệt tình nên nên đỡ bực tập 1. Ngày thư 2 vừa đánh xe vô để chở người nhà sảnh hơi chật và xe đau cũng lộn xộn nên mình không thế tấp xe ngay ngắn dc, thay vì có người hướng dẫn mình đậu ngay ngắn trước cho an toàn thì một anh bảo vê ở đâu ra gõ đùng đùng vô kính xe hỏi “ ở trong khách sạn hay đi đâu thế “ cung cách như kiểu bảo vệ ở các cơ quan hành chính nhà nước chứ không phải ở khách sạn 4 sao. ( theo quan sát thì tiền sảnh ở khách sạn này chỉ có bảo vệ đứng trực đút tay túi quân hay ngồi chéo chân ơ ghế thôi ai quen thi chạy thẳng xe vào ko thì cũng ngáo ngơ nhìn tới nhìn lui ) Hầm để xe : Nhỏ. Chật hôi hám bụi bẩn còn có nước đọng , ở phia sau khach sạn cũng như tiền sảnh đương xuống hâm cũng chả có ai hương dẫn và cũng chả có hướng dẫn bằng bảng hiệu hay đèn đóm gì. Đoán là hầm của ks nên phi thẳng vào luôn bên dưới mới co một người ngồi trực. Phòng ốc thì như các review khác đánh giá rồi ko muốn nói thêm. buffet sáng : đồ ăn bịnh thường ko có gì đặc sắc, 7:30 xuống mà đồ ăn chỗ nào cũng hết. Chờ mãi chả thấy châm thêm. Nguyên 1 dãy chả còn gì ăn. Khách san 4 sao mà ghế trẻ em không có. Thang máy khá chậm và cũ kỹ. đợi thang máy lâu hơi lâu rồi, vừa vào thi một cô dọn vệ sinh chặn ngang lại bắt mình đơi thêm để lạu cai sàn thang máy ở tầng g. Đợi thêm 1 phút nữa cũng chả sao dang nào cũng lâu rồi . Minh đi các nơi khác thi thây khi lau chùi thang máy nếu đang có người thì nv vệ sinh sẽ ko vào hoặc đơi khi không có ai mới vào lau don. Chứ không ai bắt khách đứng đợi lau dọn nhu vậy . Tóm lại là khách sạn 4 sao vị trí thuận tiện ngay trung tâm, giá tiền 4 sao nhưng service...

Yes, we staying on this hotel for two days. The hotel is ok for staying. The guards and the bell-mans and the receptions is not polite, they not well trained. When our van stop for pick up or send off peoples they come to hurry us up for another the cars? Why? We all the guests of this hotel, the one who come after need to wait for the one who come first??? That very simple. The locate is right in the central of the city. So it’s give us very convenient to walk around. The reception is not good conversation to the guests when my room out of internet, I call them hut they feels not happy to help out.
