This homestay overcharged me. When I arrived, I immediately stated that I had a reservation through Booking.com. I used Google Translate to communicate, so there was no issue with language barriers. Since I had booked on my laptop and didn't have a printed confirmation and didn’t save it on my phone, I asked the employee how much I needed to pay. She replied: “250,000 dong.” So, I paid that amount. Later, I checked my booking and found out I should have been charged 219,000 dong. It was clear this wasn’t a misunderstanding; she intentionally overcharged me, taking advantage of the situation, assuming I wouldn’t notice.

Once I found out the scam, finding an employee to talk to was hard: for a long time, there was no-one. Then, I saw an old lady mopping the floor. Since she didn’t speak English either, I showed her my phone with the problem explained via Google Translate: she read it very slowly, syllable by syllable! She then started pointing upstairs, then called someone, then pointed at her Zalo app. I had no idea what she was trying to say. If you don’t speak English, do at least communicate via Google Translate! That kind of response made me angry. They did refund the difference eventually. But it’s been a very unpleasant experience indeed.

The owners of this homestay are loud. They had dinner at 9 p.m., and one woman was shouting throughout the meal. Having woken up early that day, I was trying to sleep, but all I could hear was her shouting. It was outrageous! There was an unpleasant hissing noise at night, at a certain pitch disturbing to the human ear. I couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. It only stopped when I turned off both the AC and the fridge, meaning I had to endure the night without air conditioning. Unsurprisingly, with the shouting and the noise, plus the lack of AC, I had a terrible night. There’s no reception - just a chair where an old woman was sitting when I arrived (see the picture attached). However, after she overcharged me, she vanished, and I didn’t see any staff for the rest of the day. Quite a clever tactic! There are two large dogs in the lane where the homestay is located. One of them belongs to the house right in front of the homestay, and runs around barking at guests. Sáng hôm sau 9h mới sửa xong, thợ nói chuyện mới biết con xe đó gãy khoá nhiều lần rồi, kiểu bẫy khách du lịch. Sợ quá, ko dám thuê nữa thì bắt trả tiền chìa 150k, thêm tiền thuê từ 5h-9h tối 100k nữa. Như kiểu lừa đảo. Tiền nong mất tí thì thôi cũng được, nhưng thái độ làm việc không chuyên nghiệp tí nào, phải gọi nhà chủ để thúc thợ sửa khoá, dù nhà chủ báo chỉ 6 rưỡi 7h là xong, làm toi mất buổi sáng chả làm được gì. Tiện recommend luôn ae thuê xe máy thì thuê ở thuê xe gắn máy phượt ở khách sạn Đồng Xanh, vừa rẻ vừa chuyên nghiệp, ko mất thời gian. Mình không thuê ở đây xong, đặt ở Đồng Xanh thì 15 phút sau có xe giao ngay, chắc chắn cứng cáp chứ ko lệch hết cả đầu như con Dylan kia. Super unmotiviertes und desinteressiertes Personal. Wir haben mehrmals gesagt, dass wir über Booking.com gebucht haben, was ignoriert wurde. Wir haben bezahlt und die Buchung wurde trotzdem storniert auf Booking. Am „Empfang“ wurde die ganze Zeit super komisch auf uns reagiert. Das Badezimmer war auf jeden Fall nicht geputzt und sehr dreckig. Wir mussten erstmal selber mit Desinfektionsmittel sauber machen. Es ist zwar günstig und in guter Lage für den Fähranleger, aber definitiv keine Empfehlung! Höchstens für eine Nacht in dem Bewusstsein, dass es...
