Milk Milk Homestay — Hotel in Hà Giang Province

Milk Milk homestay is without a doubt amazing. AC, Hot water and a hairdryer. Run by a wonderful family and 2 cute dogs. I got especially close to Mik Mik their 3yo daughter was especially good at dancing haha It was raining the entire evening but i was lucky to bump into some guys (now friends) who were on the loop as well. We had dinner, drinks, shared stories and plans. It was a perfect evening.

Just a quick tip for those coming: The dinner set (VND 100,000) is indeed delicious but the portion is huge and ended up a waste. Beer is VND 20,000 a can. And Happy water (corn wine) was free.

Personally i tried everything as i usually do before writing a review. Got the private room for VND 350k, dinner for VND 100k, another plate of fried noodles with an omelette (huge portion & delicious) for my friend (VND 50,000) and 2 cans of beer. What would i do different?

Just the fried noodles for dinner or share the 100k dinner set with a friend. Get beer down the road (12k) if you are on a budget or just enjoy...

This is a simple place with options for a communal room with shared bathroom or a private room with shower but no AC.

There is a large courtyard and a fire pit so it looks good for large groups. I was alone, mid week so it was quiet. There is also a pool table so I imagine it can be a fun friendly place.

Quality of rooms was a but lacking as they seem to have built things quickly and cheaply but it isn't a real issue.

There are several other places nearby that have variations on the same theme so look around.

It is also far enough from the main road to be quiet but within walking distance to the several cafes and restaurants.

All in all, a fine...

Had to sleep on wet sheets and the stuff didin't take responsabilty for it. Really bad service. Hostel's areas and breakfast were actually good.

Bedroom sheets and pillows were wet. We asked them if they could change them for us and they did it, but the new ones were also wet, so it didn't make a difference. We had to sleep on wet sheets and the day after we told the receptionist about it and he didn't believe us. In our opinion the staff didn't offer a proper solution and also they were not kind...
