I’ve been wanting to do the Hà Giang Loop tour for many years, I wasn’t sure what to expect about road conditions and police checks so I wanted to reserve a tour to be safe for my first time. This experience was absolutely mind blowing and eye opening, the drivers are what made my experience unforgettable.
Not many tours include the cost of round trip bus to/from Hà Nội but this one does and the entire cost of the trip was very affordable! There was a bus that picked us up from our hotel in Hà Nội and we made a stop to switch to a sleeper bus for our six hour journey to Hà Giang, same goes for the bus returning to Hà Nội. Even though we arrived early morning to Hà Giang, we were happy to see there was still someone to greet us after we exited the bus and the room in the hostel was already prepared.
My friend and I were paired with Azu and Boo, there was a big group at the hostel that was on the same duration of trip as us (4 days 3 nights) but we left on our own and for the entirety of the trip, it was just us two with the drivers! It was essentially a private tour which was a rare luxury, we saw many groups of 10+ people along our journey, almost no one had a small group like ours so for this we were extremely thankful. All of the accommodations were private rooms (we noticed other groups had to sleep in shared dorms), all meals, gasoline etc were included in the cost.
We made many scenic stops and breaks, Azu and Boo always happily offered to be cameramen for us. There were times when the driving became difficult with low visibility due to fog or unpaved roads but they are clearly experts of the area having done this tour for years (they knew the roads by memory) and have mastered safe driving, I never felt in danger with them. Every meal we had eaten together with Azu and Boo, we spent every night together singing karaoke, chatting and bonding. Despite the language barrier, we effectively communicated via translate apps to make close friendships with our drivers and lifelong memories.
Overall the trip was very fulfilling, I’ve learned a wealth of knowledge about Vietnamese culture and language and I’m very sad to leave but it will not be the last time I visit Hà Giang! Cảm ơn, Chúc...

I did the 4-day Ha Giang Loop with Good Morning Ha Giang and honestly, it was one of the best travel experiences I’ve had. My Easy Rider was Khang, and from the very start, he made everything feel easy and taken care of. He picked us up directly from our hotel, and we met the rest of our small group at the office before heading off on the loop.
There were a few things that really made this tour stand out:
Smaller group, more flexibility: Our group was small, which made a huge difference. We could go at our own pace, stop more often, and really take in the views without feeling rushed or herded around. The Easy Riders were super chill and always matched our energy.
Culturally rich and not overly touristy: As someone who’s Vietnamese but lives in Europe , I really appreciated how authentic this tour felt. Some other companies seem to cater too much to the party crowd or westernize the experience. This one didn’t. You could tell the Easy Riders were proud to show us the real Vietnam – the landscapes, the people, the food, the way of life. It never felt forced or “cringe.”
Safety first, always: I felt so safe the whole time. Khang was incredibly skilled – he drove carefully, especially around sharp corners and rocky roads. He kept a steady, comfortable pace, and everyone in our group felt the same way – totally relaxed and in good hands.
Khang went above and beyond every single day. He constantly made sure we were okay – not too tired, not too hungry – and if anyone needed anything, he adjusted the itinerary to suit us. One of my friends needed a long sleeve top because it was too hot, and Khang took him to a local shop and helped him negotiate a fair price. Little things like that made the whole experience so personal.
The homestays were great – super comfortable, had air-con, and kept that authentic Vietnamese vibe. We’d often bump into other groups at night and ended up doing karaoke together a few times – lots of fun, but still chill.
All in all, this was a 10/10 experience. If you’re looking for a tour that’s real, safe, and genuinely unforgettable – go with Good Morning Ha Giang.
Thank you Good morning Ha...
Read moreThis company is an Excellent option if you’re looking for a quieter and smaller travelling groups. Although we had Karaoke and Happy water together, still had peaceful sleep each night out of my 3D2N Ha giang stay.
The drivers go above and beyond to make sure you take amazing pictures and have a memorable trip. They were incredibly accessible and accommodating despite the language barrier. You can tell how well experienced they are through the roads of the loop which made me feel safe. They are also very smiley and kind. Always looking after their riders.
I would say that if you are in fact going to Ha giang, and like a bit more of privacy and comfort, book a private room as they carry their personal bathrooms with locks. I would also highly recommend the cabin VIP bus instead of the sleeper bus. Those are small and not at all costly upgrades that I made throughout my trip that made the overall experience much better and much more enjoyable. I would have not been as happy if stayed in a dorm with strangers.
If I would to do this again, I would better prepare myself by bringing either rain coats or no light coloured clothing as we drive through many dusty areas that get your clothes all dusty. I would also recommend bringing a mask or a scarf so you don’t inhale any of the dust either. Wear comfortable clothes and comfortable shoes as you’ll be trekking and sitting on a bike for hours and hours and you’ll feel sore.
Overall a great experience all the way from drivers to the beautiful views and meeting so many local villages. Thanks Good Morning Ha Giang for the...
