Long Hotel — Hotel in Hà Giang

We booked one night here, worst mistake we made in Vietnam, this place is built improperly and had me INJURED SEVERELY, and then demanded we pay for the extra night we stayed after being hospitalized. ||We got to Ha giang via sleeper and had to check in at midnight, so we tried contacting Long hotel both using booking and through their WhatsApp number, but got zero response.||We arrived at 1:30 in the morning, the place was closed and we had to knock while it was raining outside for some 10 minutes before someone opened the door.||||The shower door was a large glass panel, and it was installed IMPROPERLY, and when I woke up it shattered completely, showering me with sharp shards of glass. Luckily only my arm was injured, but I received multiple deep cuts which I had to treat at the hospital, cancelling our booked loop and delaying our entire vacation. Additionally, the hospital told me to come back tomorrow forcing us to book another night in Ha Giang.||||The hotel staff seemed to not care at all about the incident, and other than ordering us a cab to the hospital (not paying for it!), they moved us to a smaller room, and then demanded we pay for the extra night.||||Overall- lousy staff, unprofessional and above all a safety hazard. (We discussed the shower door with other hotel guests and they told us their rooms had the exact same improper glass panel).||Avoid...

Long Hotel is a modern traveler’s place with good rooms, very good beds, large lounge, eating area with pool table and perfect service travellers. We stayed a week mid-March and another few days after the loop in the Karst Plateau. Big plus: the available Twin-room with mountain view had two large (1.20x2.00) single beds, good enough for couple to share. Unfortunately there are no chairs in the rooms and in our room no hangers for cloth – other rooms had. We did not see or get the insurance contract for the 100.000 extra per day for motorbike insurance. When you stay longer than three days, the breakfast options get a bit the same.

We would rate 4 out 5, but give an extra plus point to Kiki and staff for holding up the flag in corona-crises, doing everything to make the stay and the time of travelers as good as possible.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ highly recommend to stay at the Long Hotel in Ha Giang! Super nice stuff, beautiful mountain view, good location, delicious food, fancy shakes and delicious Vietnamese coffee! :) If you want to do the Ha Giang Loop, rent a motorbike directly from next door - Kiki's House! While you go on the loop trip you can keep your luggage at the Long Hotel - super nice service! My room was really nice and clean. I regret that I didn't have time to stay more nights. The staff is kind and helpful with good advices for the Ha Giang Loop!
