Check in was horrible, the worst I have ever done in my life around the world. I had pre-booked on booking. I walked inside and sat down for a few minutes as I did not see anyone. Then I walked next to the desk and found the guy in the pictures sleeping, which is not really a big deal because it was 10:15pm. I tried to wake him up gently and he would not move. I got louder with my voice and he just moved and ignored me. I started tapping him to wake him up but he moved away. I started to get really annoyed so I shouted louder and he still would not wake up. Then he just shouted at me and said "passport". I gave him my passport and he didn't even open his eyes. He threw my passport in a drawer and went back to sleep. I woke him up again and asked him where do I go now? He just wanted me to go away. I told him I was here to check in and he said it was already done, and he went back to sleep. I asked him what room and he just pointed upstairs. I asked him again, and he shouted at me. When I got to the room, it was the wrong number and I did not want to go back downstairs and ask again because I didn't want to be treated with disrespect again. I also didn't want to just start knocking on doors to try to find my room. I thought he would blame me, so I went back down and asked. He would not move, talk, or open his eyes as I was shouting and tapping him to wake him up. I decided to find the room myself, and I'm not sure if it was the right one. In the morning, the same guy was asleep on the couch. I believe he may have been drunk, because I could not imagine getting customer service like this. There was another very nice guy there in the morning, and everything else was good. I work in the hotel industry, and this behavior would lead to an immediate firing anywhere else. This guy showed me more disrespect than anyone else in vietnam had. I will never come back to this hotel again...
Read moreA fantastic little airport hotel - perfect for a quick overnight stop or when you have a late night/early morning departure. |||This is a small, super friendly family guest house, located about 5-10 minutes drive from Hanoi airport. No frills, not luxury, but everything you need for a good night’s sleep along with super friendly service. We were a little worried before we arrived as we realised there aren’t many recent reviews on TA but everything was great and far exceeded our expectations, particularly for the price we paid. |||The value for money is incredible, rooms are clean, beds are comfy, good air conditioning, a fan, TV and a small fridge with some paid for snacks and complimentary water. Shower is good, water is hot. Our rate included breakfast which we selected the night before - toast with jam, eggs, beef pho, fruits and coffee. |||The hotel can also arrange airport pick-up/drop off for 6 USD - highly recommend this! Thank you to this wonderful family-run property, we’ll definitely be back next time we have a...
Read morePlease please read this review and do not stay at this hotel. There are numerous negative things to say but I think this story will suffice. My husband and I had checked in and gone to bed. The air conditioning unit was above our heads on the wall. It starting SPRAYING us with water. Not like a few drops but SPRAY/DUMPING on our heads. The person at the desk came up and did nothing to help. Our pillows and bed were soaked. Again, not a few drops. I needed a new pillowcase and pillow. Soaked through. He then stood on the bed IN HIS BARE DIRTY FEET to inspect the air con. With his dirty feet by where our heads would be laying. He left without fixing anything. We asked for a new room but told no. We decided we would pull the bed away from the wall so at least it wouldn’t drip on our bed. We discovered so much dirt, dust, and hair. Finally we just slept where our feet should have been with our feet in the wet sheets and comforter where the air con was dripping. |There were numerous other problems here. Please believe my...
