If you’re looking for the perfect place to stay in Hanoi—this is NOT it! Please, do yourself a favor and don’t stay here! This was genuinely my worst experience out of 40 countries I’ve visited—everything was terrible.
First, I arrived at the hotel at 5:00 AM and asked if I could leave my bags and sit in the lobby until check-in. At 6:50 AM, the security guard told me to leave because I was coughing too loudly (yes, I was sick at the time, but I was sitting alone in the lobby with no one around to disturb). He told me to come back at 2:00 PM for check-in.
I returned at 2:00 PM, but they didn’t let me check in until 4:30 PM! The rooms were dirty, no one had cleaned them, and the housekeeping staff only arrived at 4:00 PM. And it wasn’t just me—there were at least five other guests with the same issue.
There was no one at the front desk, the security guard disappeared, and the manager didn’t respond to messages or calls. I had no idea if my room would even be cleaned.
When I finally checked in, the room was still filthy! The housekeeper spent barely five minutes cleaning—she only changed the sheets and wiped the floor. When I asked for a proper cleaning, they ignored me.
But that’s not all!
The next morning, I woke up to a horrible moldy smell—there was mold in the air conditioner and the bathroom. It was disgusting and, more importantly, dangerous for your health.
And yet, there’s more.
They are demolishing a building right next door, and it’s noisy 24/7. I’m not joking—they work from early morning until late at night. When I asked the owner and security about it, their response was, “What can we do?” Well, you could at least warn people before they book!
Please, DO NOT stay at this hotel. It’s an...
Read moreTwo stars as the communication was easy but I do not recommend this facility to anyone.
We initially booked the studio for 18 days, considering it had amazing reviews on B O O K I n G. Sk we were sure it will be our perfect home away from home. Nothing further from it. I wish someone warn us before wasting two days of our trip after 20 h flight.
There is an extremely loud construction literally in front of the building, the area is not pleasant- just by the highway, situated in a dark sketchy alley. The entrance is through a garage so every time you want to enter the building you need to wait for the garage door to open and close them after as this is what is requested by the building owner.
We have only been in this apartment for less than 18 hours ( slept 8 of the ) but both electricity and internet didn’t work for 4 hours altogether.
Fungus smell from the aircon so strong we had to switch it off entirely. That being said the sheets are made of 100% polyester so you sweat your body weight rather than sleeping.
The microwave has to be moved on the floor or the stove as the cable is so short so the way they position it does not make sense.
After w complained the owner offered alternative accommodation- we went to check it out- nice area, nice apartment, no construction but hey I did not inspect the flat entirely.
We took a cab, moved all our stuff just for me to finally lay on the bed. The sheets smelled funny, there were signs of bed bugs infestation and bottom sheet was covered in hair and old blood stains.
At this point, when she offered the 3rd accommodation we found somewhere else instead.
Absolutely disgusting, save yourself some stress and time!...
Read moreA bit shocked - checked in at night, and when we woke up our big window was facing a wall. There is another studio available on the same floor facing on the street, so this wasn’t due to unavailability of better studios. The body towels had not been washed properly and were so stinky I had to shower again and put them in the balcony as they were stinking the whole room. In fact I will have to go and buy new towels to use for our 2week stay. The bathroom itself smells of sewage.
Communication was so poor I was apprehensive when we arrived. The host sent a bunch of complicated check in instructions through Agoda that are poorly translated to English and don’t really make sense and then stopped replying entirely. I messaged them on WhatsApp too and my messages were never opened.
We were only able to get in due to the night guard guy who luckily let us in - he seems very nice but does not speak a word of English unfortunately, so there is literally no one available to speak to.
The road is a complete derelict building site - we nearly didn’t walk down as thought it could have not been the correct place. This could have been made clear by the host to avoid any confusion but needless to say this was also not...
