Good value for a USD $66/night stay with breakfast. Stayed in a triple twin, so costs were split 3 ways. Not bad for $22/night. We had a spacious room; we were able to open up our luggage and walk around, without trampling over each other. Bathroom was spacious too. It did have glass walls, but there were curtain-like sheets you could roll down for privacy. The bathroom door did face a large mirror in the room. There was a curtain you could roll down to block the glass door view, but there was a corner of the door exposed/not covered by the curtains. Someone laying on the bed next to the bathroom wall could look into the mirror and see the person in the bathroom. Not a problem for us; we had everyone in the room hang out on the couch on the other side of the room, to give the person in the bathroom privacy.
Breakfast was good. Their coffee was mostly watered down.
Hotel is near the Old Quarter, over a bridge. It is not in an area for pick up by most tour groups that provide pick up in Old Quarter. A Grab ride averaged 50k dong to Old Quarter. Give yourself extra time to get over the bridge towards Old Quarter during rush hour.
The walls are thin. We could hear the people next door, especially when the person is coughing and blowing their nose.
You received a room key that needs to be inserted in a designated spot in the room for there to be power in the room. I understand the reasoning behind this (to save electricity) but don’t expect to keep any food in the fridge that needs to stay cold. The fridge’s power gets cut when you take your key card, when you leave. You could ask for an extra key card.
Biggest reason for 3 stars: our room never got to a comfortable sleeping temperature. In our group, 1 person likes the room cold. The other 2 people get cold easily, and they were warm with the thick comforter. There was no flat sheet to keep a happy balance. The first night, our AC kept making cracking sounds, waking us up. We had windows that opened out… when closed, there’s a gap between the window seal and the actual panel. So no wonder why our AC couldn’t keep...
Read moreMy first time visit Hanoi and looking for just one night stay as next day earliy morning will be going to Halong, and I found the Castle Hotel, it is a right choice for a short stay in Hanoi with reasoanble price. Its strategic location provides easy access to the Hanoi city and the hotel newly opened on October 2023. Each floor only comes with 2 rooms.
The hotel provides express check-in/check-out, and luggage storage, ensuring a hassle-free experience. The laundry service is a great addition, making it easy to maintain a fresh wardrobe throughout your stay. Guestrooms are well-equipped for a comfortable night's rest, offering amenities like air conditioning, varied entertainment options, and essential in-room facilities. But the toilet got a strong smell which they really need to improve. 😔😔😔
The hotel do not provide the breakfast but it is convenienvent to grab our breakfast nearby, some shop start at 6am. The Castle Hotel provides proximity to Hanoi's attractions and dining spots. Don't miss exploring the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology and the famous Old Quarter, both offering rich cultural experiences.
In summary, The Castle Hotel is 3-star property that offered my family a good stay experience in Hanoi. Its services, convenient location, and thoughtful amenities cater to both leisure and convenience, making it a right choice for you to choose with a reasoanble price.

Read moreThe glass toilet doors might be a bit awkward for those travelling with friends/groups given the lack of privacy. There are blinds but you’ll need to lower/raise them each time you enter/exit the bathroom, which can be loud and disruptive for your travelling group.
Location is a bit further from the Old Quarters so some Grab or taxi drivers may be reluctant to pick you as they’ll need to drive across the bridge, but the actual overall journey/absolute distance to the touristy area is actually very short (1km+ or 5 mins with smooth traffic). However, we did encounter a few cancellations from the Grab drivers when booking at odd hours.
However, there is also a large supermarket across the street and it is right next to the main road, which makes it very accessible.
Otherwise very new, modern and clean hotel with European design. Triple room was very spacious and well equipped with basic amenities, bathrobes, power points. Friendly staff....
