We stayed one month here and absolutely in love with the island, our room and family who takes care about everything. I’ll answer the questions you might have before booking this place for the long term: The view and surrounding absolutely beautiful and not boring at all. We spent time drinking tea in the rooftop, cooking in the kitchen or just under AC in our room since it’s was too hot outside in April-May. End of April and May are not perfect months for Hoian because rice fields are harvested. Choose any other months and Google it. It’s just 10 minutes by motorbike to old town or night market. And coming back to this view is 100% worthy. There are big bridge for cars and the tiny one for bikes only and it’s totally fine to drive through. Motorbike is safer than a bicycle if you go to the beach and old town. But with a bicycle you can explore beautiful rice fields around the homestay. You can use Grab in Hoian if you don’t drive, it’s around 50K per motorbike from the homestay to old town. Walking is also possible. There are food delivery by Grab. Restaurants near homestay are more local and more expensive than in the city center, surprisingly. There one parking lot for the car and many for the bikes. Gate is closed by the night. Taxi from Danang is 250-300K only and it’s pick you up and drop off. Roads are good in the area. There are fridge and the kettle in the room Kitchen is shared with family, we had no problems to cook and feel as home This room has 2 balconies. One of them facing the road. It’s a bit noisy, not heavy, but you may hear the traffic. If it is matter, just take another room with one balcony and very beautiful view to the river and rice fields, which is absolutely peaceful. The couple who takes care of the hotel uses English translator to communicate, it’s easy. They are awesome people. Wifi is fast and stable I love the...
*For someone who concerns:
I messaged to request an early check-in, only to discover that someone had taken my booking information and used it for a scam. What makes this situation even more frustrating is that the host didn’t contact me via Agoda to verify whether I was actually traveling with the scammer, or wait until my check-in date to clarify things. The scammer claimed they were traveling with me and requested that our rooms be arranged close to each other. However, since it was peak season, there were no adjacent rooms available. The homestay then agreed to refund the scammer.
I had messaged earlier to request early check-in but received no reply, which already made me suspicious. When I arrived, the host’s mother told me they would refund me and suggested I find another place to stay. But how could I possibly find a room at the price I booked—especially during a holiday when most places are fully booked?
I’m giving 3 stars only because the host’s mother did her best to help us find alternative accommodation. She was very kind and welcoming. However, the way the host handled the situation was unprofessional and needs improvement. I also work in the hospitality industry, and I believe his approach seriously lacks professionalism.
Note: I do not know the person in the photo. If anyone experiences a similar situation, please be cautious. The screenshot below is the message the host sent me when he was communicating with...

We had such a nice time at this homestay! The owners are really kind, and even though they don’t speak English, communicating was super easy with a translation app.
The location is peaceful and just a short scooter ride or walk from the old town. You cross a big river and take a scenic road that only bikes and motorbikes can go through—such a cool experience. The views and the quiet village atmosphere are perfect.
The room was big, clean, and just like the photos online. We had a late breakfast, and they still made us noodles with eggs, which were delicious. One time, we walked by and heard the owner playing guitar, which was a nice surprise.
If you’re looking for a local, peaceful place to stay, this is a...
