As a solo female traveler from a Nordic country who works/studies at the same time, I can’t recommend Lasanta Villa highly enough for long or short stays! I extended my stay from 1 month to 3 months, I had a room with the view.
I’ve lived in many places in Vietnam and Europe - this place has easily been the best place to stay. This Villa has 6 rooms (+ the family’s room), a rooftop terrace, a kitchen that guests can use, a laundry room, swimming pool, a garden. Filtered, clean drinking water is included. Photos of the Villa are very accurate, the views are amazing.
Villa with an atmosphere of homestay: Family running this place is beyond lovely – they are extremely friendly, want you to enjoy your stay as it is like your home and will help you out with anything. The happiest host was born and raised in Hoi An and the loveliest hostess was born in bit northern – they have both travelled in Vietnam, they will share you the best tips and about the culture. During my stay, I felt like home. Do you like late nights in Hoi An? No worries, the family is not uptight at all. Do you like own peace and working alone? No worries, the family will double-check that you have not forgotten to eat during the day.
Cleanliness: The Villa is very clean, and the room is spotless! On my first evenings in new accommodations, I usually test the toilet seat with disinfectant and cotton pad. The pad was not even yellowish, it came out completely white. The room is cleaned regularly (and properly!) and upon request if you wish. Laundry and tumble dryer are quick to use and always available anytime.
Workspace: Each room has its own router. All the rooms have good desks and chairs for working. When I explained about my internet needs, the family even updated my room’s router and internet connection. I have been able to smoothly run interviews and record/save interviews without any lags. During my stay, there were other long-stay guests working online as well – some of them were staying in smaller rooms and working in co-workers’ spaces in Hoi An. I enjoy my own peace, hence my own bigger room with the view has been perfect. I appreciated the strong aircon in my room under the heat of Hoi An.
Location and services around: Villa is in peaceful Tra Que Village – close to the beach, the Old Town, gyms, yoga places, etc. Grab is cheap to take, you can rent a scooter (family can help with that, no half-broken scooters) or use a bicycle (free). There are also beautiful coffee places and restaurants that use vegetables from the village. I usually enjoy my lunch somewhere nearby before continuing with my laptop.
This place will make your Hoi An...

Watching the sunset over the rice paddies, with Ba Na Hills in the distance, was breathtaking. It was the perfect place for morning yoga or evening reflection. Phuong's help in arranging tours and airport transfers took all the stress out of planning. Her suggestions for female-friendly tailors in Hoi An were spot on - I left with some beautiful custom-made clothes! The little touches made a big difference - free filtered water, a mini-fridge for snacks, and the swimming pool for cooling off. The DIY laundry option was super convenient for a long-term traveler like me. What I appreciated most was the sense of community. Phuong often introduced me to other guests, and we ended up sharing meals and experiences. It was comforting to know that help was always just a call away, whether I needed a late night grab bike or dinner recommendations.
