We had booked for 1 week, but liked it so much that we extended our booking and ended up staying for 3 weeks! We were first placed in a spacious ground floor room but were informed that as we had a longer booking we could move to another room at the top floor when one became available. The ground floor room was absolutely nice too (the only thing that we disliked was that the bathroom area was separated from the room with just a curtain), but the top floor room was still a pleasant surprise! It was spacious, clean, had a bath tub and a nice balcony with beautiful views!
During our stay we enjoyed the delicious breakfast every morning (you can choose the items you want from a menu and the food is freshly prepared) and it was also possible to order dinner. The area is lovely, perfect for someone who enjoys peaceful surroundings and a more rural setting (although keep in mind that sometimes there are religious events with music, or karaoke nights happening) we had many walks and leisurely bike trips in the surrounding vegetable village and the little roads amongst the rice paddies. There are also cafes and restaurants within walking distance, and many offer cooking classes too. The bikes were available for free and it was easy to bike to the ancient town of Hội An, or to An Bang beach (at first the thought of biking amidst Vietnamese traffic seemed scary, but was completely ok, you can take a quieter road to the city!).
Everyone at the villa was so nice and helpful and Nga was always happy to give advice or recommendations. Thank you so much for you hospitality! We will always remember the time we spent...
Read moreBest part? How amazingly kind the owners are. Everyone that we came in contact with was super kind and accommodated every request we had. Great if you want to be far from noisy center. $2/3 US dollars taxi ride to town. Quiet and relaxing (but there is a bar next door and it can get pretty loud if you are in rooms facing the bar side). On the five nights we were there the bar was absolutely quiet. Only one afternoon they blasted music for a little while. The room was huge and comfortable. Had a mini fridge. Bathroom was also very big. The shower is kind of weirdly situated -the floor gets wet after showering, making it a big of a trip hazard to go to use the toilet, unless you use the towels to dry the floor. Not an issue for us, but this continued exposure to moist in the bathroom must not be good for the wooden furniture. If you want to feel at home, away from the noise, go here. There are a few family-owned restaurants very close by -hard to tell, so ask about those places if you want to eat near by and not go to town. We would definitely go back if we find ourselves...
Read moreStayed here for a week in February 2020 as a couple. Toilet seat was broken at the hinge -- still usable, but annoying, but why isn't something simple like this fixed? Be prepared to wake early (6 am or so) due to the noisy local staff chatting loudly next to the room (mine was the room downstairs). We had to give them clear "hints" before they stopped, and even then, they continued the next morning. It's nice that they included the morning breakfast, but honestly, it really feels like a grudging afterthought. The pho noodles are of the lowest-quality instant noodles from a packet, with processed seasoning powder full of MSG. The tea, sadly, on most days, was the tea from the day before. Very clear from the oxidized taste! The premises and location are nice though, I'll give them that. Literally right next to Tra Que organic vegetable garden. Honestly I've styed at many places in Hoi An, as a digital nomad, and there are places with much better service. With serious improvements, this place could be a...
