Muca Hoi An Co-living & Work Retreat — Hotel in Hội An

Muca Hoi An Boutique Resort and Spa is a gem of a find, especially after the frenetic pace of Hanoi and Saigon! We stayed 5 nights in an upper story suite which had lovely views of the garden and neighbourhood and evening breezes. Our room was spacious with nice private outside sitting area, window that opens, huge bed!, high ceilings, a quiet AC unit, and a beautiful spacious bathroom (a great model for the ensuite we want to build at home!). I believe the hotel has about 36 rooms so is not overcrowded.||||We cannot give enough complements to all the staff at the resort - they are all so very kind, ensuring we had everything we needed. The desk staff Tam and Ninh were especially valuable in arranging the sleeper berth train for us from Da Nang to Saigon. Nhung and Hiep helped us with Grab cars to go to and from the Old Town. ||The restaurant staff also went above and beyond! ||||If you are a gardener, you will love the gardens which are lovingly cared for - many orchids, zinnias and other flowers were blooming; the garden supplies many of the greens for the restaurant.||The 2 swimming pools are lovely, super clean and refreshing.||||A family across the road offers Laundry services ($1 CAD for 1 KG), washed and nicely folded! This hotel is a 10 minute drive away from the touristic old town, just far enough to get away from the madness if you want to. |The rooms are standard, but have the biggest double beds I have ever seen, with comfortable, clean bedding. |We had 2 rooms, one had 2 chairs and a small table, the other did not. (?)|I am very sensitive for smells (unfortunately) and the room felt a tiny bit damp, I would not have put any of my clothes in the cupboard, but we did not want to anyway, so it was fine (and noone else in the family noticed it)| The garden-pool-dining area is lovely and the pool was still just “warm” enough to have a swim. |My daughter and I had a short facial just before we left, felt great, the ladies were very good. ||Have to give extra credit to the staff, they were very very nice and very helpful making sure you do have a pleasant stay. |||————-|We did take the hotel bikes to the “private” beach. My family did enjoy a swim in the sea, but this to me was one of the worst beaches I have ever seen. You can tell it used to be better. We spent four nights here and loved it. This hotel is exceptional value for money. My wife toured 12 other hotels and chose this one. Better than many of the more expensive hotels. Located on a quiet road away from the main road. One of the better breakfasts you can get in Vietnam.
