HELLO VILLA & SPA — Hotel in Hue City

This place has so much potential but unfortunately it’s not quite there yet. It was one of the most expensive places on our Vietnam stay and just didn’t hit the mark compared to other places we stayed.

The bed sheets were clean and beds were comfy, but the rooms and bathrooms were very dirty. There was also a lack of toilet paper and there were no toiletries for the shower.

The staff hardly spoke to us, and never once checked in that things were OK with us. There was also no hot water for showers and no provision of umbrellas. Also no mats for the shower.

The TV in most rooms had no power point to plug it in, so completely pointless even having it there.

There is an amazing karaoke room, but we had to pay an additional 300,000 dong to use it for 1hr (and the machine ran out of charge after about 10mins and took about 20mins to get it going again). They did give us an extra 20mins to compensate, but cut it off right on time.

This hotel honestly doesn’t deserve more than one star. During our entire stay, the trash bin in our room was never emptied, the towels were never changed, and there was no hot water at all.

Our window didn’t even open. The room wasn’t just stuffy, it actually felt creepy and had a really gloomy, unsettling atmosphere.

There were loud parties held in the hotel on multiple nights, and the staff did nothing about it. In the mornings, the common areas were full of trash.

To make things worse, there were lots of cockroaches, both in the room and in the hallways.

There was a hole in the ceiling of the shower, which meant we could hear everyone, and everyone could hear us, making it impossible to have any privacy. On top of that, a group of about 10 people blasted loud music and screamed all night until morning, and the hotel did nothing about it.
