During my recent four-day, three-night stay at the hotel, I experienced several areas where service and customer care fell below expectations. Unfortunately, my overall impression was marked by a lack of professionalism and noticeable inconsistencies in how staff interacted with different groups of guests.
Customer Care and Reception
At check-in, my family did not receive a greeting or welcome gesture, while I observed Korean guests being warmly received with greetings and complimentary refreshments. This created an immediate impression of unequal treatment and left us feeling overlooked.
Communication and Responsiveness
When guests sought assistance or asked questions, staff responses were minimal and not particularly helpful. In the dining area, requests for basic items such as utensils took up to 20 minutes to be fulfilled. Additionally, the manner of service was at times dismissive—for example, food was placed on the table with little care.
Housekeeping Services
Room cleaning was inconsistent. On two occasions, toiletries were not replenished despite being used, and when requested, staff responded defensively rather than accommodating. Trash bins were emptied without changing liners, and general tidiness was not maintained. Only on the final day did we encounter a housekeeper who was attentive and enthusiastic, which stood out as a positive exception.
Children’s Facilities and Restaurant Experience
In the kids’ club, staff engagement appeared to vary depending on the nationality of the children. Korean children were given attention and care, whereas Vietnamese children were often ignored. When an unsafe situation arose—a child throwing objects dangerously—staff did not intervene. At breakfast, my parents were told they could not sit in a particular area because they were not Korean, which was both surprising and deeply disappointing.
Facilities and Maintenance
The room condition did not meet expectations for comfort. Some electrical outlets were nonfunctional, preventing the use of certain devices. The air conditioning wasn’t working and they came in to give us a FAN instead of changing other room. But we stay in a 3 bedroom villa and 2 bedrooms with broken air condition and we had to use FAN. Housekeeping also arrived late in the afternoon, which disrupted rest time while the cleaning service supposed to be done in the morning.
Lost Items & Poor Customer Service Experience
I checked out at 12:30 and accidentally left behind my card wallet. The housekeeping staff found it, but instead of informing me immediately, they took a photo of it and sent it to their group chat without contacting me. My family was also traveling with a 1-year-old baby who was unwell. I requested a late checkout so the baby could rest longer and even offered to pay extra, but the staff refused. They insisted the room was already booked, gave no alternative options, and told us we had to leave. What makes this worse is the inconsistency in their responses. When I called back four hours later to ask about my card wallet, they admitted they had found it but never notified me. At first, they claimed the room had another booking, yet later said the room would actually remain empty for three days—which directly contradicted their earlier excuse. This lack of honesty and poor communication left us extremely disappointed. More importantly, I am now very concerned about the safety of my personal and financial information. If my credit card details are ever misused, who will take responsibility for the consequences?
Overall Impression
The overall service experience suggested a lack of consistent standards in customer care and raised concerns of discriminatory treatment toward Vietnamese guests. While one staff member demonstrated attentiveness, the broader experience was characterized by poor communication, lack of professionalism, and inadequate inclusivity.
I believe these issues merit serious attention from management to ensure all guests are treated with equal respect and hospitality, regardless...
Read more🌟 A Wonderful Family Getaway in Movenpick Cam Ranh! 🌟 📅 Stayed in the peak season, 1 night then moved to Nha Trang. We wish we had booked for longer! 🏨 Room: We stayed in a Hotel Twin room right in the main building, just steps away from the main swimming pool 🏊♀️. The view from our room was absolutely stunning. From the corridor outside our door, we could see distant mountains ⛰️ and a peaceful lagoon 🌅. And from our balcony, there was a breathtaking panoramic view of the pool, the ocean, and lush green coconut plantations 🌴 — simply unforgettable!" 👉 So yes, all four of us slept super comfortably. Before checking out, we made sure to move the bench back to its original place at the end of the bed. Extra pillows, blankets, and a laundry bag were delivered to our room quickly upon request – big thumbs up for the service 👍. 🍳 Breakfast – Tasty but Busy! The breakfast buffet was delicious and high quality 😋. It totally made up for the milk-related drama we’d heard about before. BUT – be sure to go early or reserve a table in advance. The crowd was no joke. The restaurant was clearly overloaded, and people had to line up just to get in. That said, the staff were friendly and efficient, doing their best to find seats quickly 👏. 💦 Pools & Water Park – Kids' Paradise! The pool and water play areas are very kid-friendly 👧🧒. In the afternoon, there were giant soap bubbles floating around – our kids had so much fun! 🫧 And the best part? No annoying height restrictions – our kids could try all the activities freely. Don’t skip the Kid Corner – it’s amazing! There were so many things to do, we couldn’t even try them all! 🌊 Beach – Surprisingly Lovely! I’m usually not a fan of the beach, but the clear, warm water here totally changed my mind 🩴💙. BUT there’s a catch… 🚿 There were only two rinse-off showers for the entire beach area. That’s way too few for the number of guests! One time, we couldn’t rinse properly because of the long line. Back in the room, sand was everywhere – especially in the bathroom 🚫. Tried to push it all into the drain, but unfortunately, the toilet drain clogged and water overflowed. Yikes! Medical service 👩⚕️: I had a sinus headache after swallowing water, and the resort sent a doctor right away. I got checked and received medicine quickly – very professional!
🧼 A Few Things to Improve: • Towels 🧺: They were a bit old and worn out – time for an upgrade. • Rinse showers on the beach 🚿: Please install more! • A swimsuit spinner near the pool would be super helpful for families. • 🎠 Evening Activities – A Bit of a Letdown The Kid Corner closed at 7 PM, which made our kids quite disappointed 😔 — they were really hoping for a place to hang out and play in the evening. 🍭 Also, the candy and ice cream counter closed by 9 PM, so no late-night treats either. • 🎬 Unlike some other resorts we’ve been to, there were no evening entertainment options — no outdoor movies, no live singers at the beach bar, and no chill events on the lawn or by the pool. 🍻 We would’ve loved to see things like live music, outdoor snacks, or a cold beer under the stars. It would've made the evenings much more lively and fun for both...

This July 2025, our family had a truly special reunion at Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh, Vietnam - a trip full of laughter, connection, and unforgettable moments. Even though the resort was fully booked, the staff tried to make everything smooth from the very beginning. We landed Cam Ranh International Air around 12:10 PM, and though check-in wasn’t until 3 PM, the team made us feel at ease right away. We left our luggage at the lobby (they gave us luggage’s tickets and handled the rest), then we headed to Panorama Restaurant just across from reception for a lunch. Good food, good chats before we knew it, the time had passed and our room was ready. You could really feel the staff trying their best from Front Office to Housekeeping making sure rooms were released as soon as possible.
Day 1 was long for us, after flying all the way from the U.S. to Hanoi, then to Cam Ranh. But the warmth and care from the team quickly helped us forget the exhaustion.
Day 2 was one of the most memorable. We booked a family celebration with a private BBQ in the villa. The setup was amazing from the electrician who carefully strung up lights, to the F&B and kitchen staff who arranged tables and prepped the grill. They were sweating in the heat, but still smiling, making sure everything was perfect. Special thanks to Tuấn (F&B) and Huy (Kitchen), your kindness truly touched our hearts.
Day 3 was full of laughter and joy. We had a sparkle birthday celebration at Panorama, and it was just stunning. The breakfast that day was also amazing. Originally, we had planned to visit Nha Trang city and eat at a local seafood place in Cam Lâm, but honestly Mövenpick had so much to offer that we decided to just stay in. There was so much to do: rope park, billiards, volleyball, tennis, pickleball… and we loved the food at every outlet: Panorama, Tropicana, Chubeli. My brother kept ordering the Ninh Vân barramundi fish at Panorama for several lunch. I asked him: “Why that dish again?” and he laughed: “It’s just too good, I can't get enough.”
Day 4, our last day, was bittersweet. We were getting ready to head back to America, but we left with full hearts. Mövenpick became part of a beautiful chapter in our family’s journey celebrating 8+ years of love for C&T, and a special birthday for T&B. Big hugs to our birthday stars!
To all the amazing staff, managers, many whose names we didn’t catch, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You made our reunion feel like a true homecoming. A small tip for anyone planning a stay: just send your request to the staff and let the Mövenpick team take care of the rest. They really do go the extra mile. With love...
