I decided to write a review about the hotel where we stayed in July 2025 - Radisson Blu Resort Cam Ranh 5. Overall, the hotel is very nice, large, and the grounds are very well maintained. But there are many more negative aspects: 1. Our acquaintance with the hotel began a few days before arrival, when I wrote them an email. Radisson has a loyalty program for loyal Customers called radisson rewards. As part of the program, my maximum participation level is VIP. I requested an upgrade of the room to the villa level, as provided by the program. In response to my letter about the privileges for the participants, they wrote to me: this is impossible, but we will provide you with free water as a compliment))). I hoped that the issue would be resolved upon arrival at the hotel. But the reception was refused even if there were available villas. They asked the senior manager to come over. A senior manager came and informed them that they had their own rules and such an upgrade was impossible. Other upgrade options were also not offered, citing the lack of alternatives. When I showed the manager on the radisson website the availability of rooms, he said that he could not help in any way. The reason for the refusal was clear: the hotel was hoping to make money, hoping that someone would book these vacant villas. The manager's behavior was defiant: he argued, interrupted, behaved emotionally and impolitely. It's strange that this is acceptable in a hotel of this level. I would like to note that the day before departure, the same manager called us and offered to upgrade to the same room, but a little more. We abandoned this idea because it's strange to move somewhere with your belongings at the end of your vacation. From the experience of staying in dozens of radisson hotels, I can say that it was the worst experience. For the first time as part of the radisson loyalty program for regular Customers, I really couldn't take advantage of the privileges for regular members. 2) The condition of the room at the time of check-in was terrible: mosquitoes were not cleaned, the walls were stained and dirty, and a torn cot for my 15-year-old son. I'm attaching a photo. I can't imagine how this is possible in a five-star hotel. I hope that the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism staff will pay attention to the discrepancy in the quality of services at the hotel; 3) an interesting feature of the Radisson Blu Resort Cam Ranh 5 hotel is that almost none of the hotel staff greets you. It was amazing for us, because before that we were in a five-star hotel in Fukuoka, and every employee there, from the janitor to the manager, is the first to tell you: Xin chao. Here we could say hello, and there was silence in response. 4) the low level of organization of the work of the hotel staff is also indicated by the fact that no one met us at the entrance. We arrived in a rented car at about 10 p.m. and there was no one from the staff to help us with our luggage. At the same time, during the day we saw how these employees worked and helped with the luggage of other hotel guests. 5) The cleanliness of the breakfast room is far from ideal. Pieces of food and dirty dishes or glasses left by other tourists lie on the distribution line for a long time. 6) upon check-in, if you are a member of the radisson rewards and out of good memory you will go to a quick check-in through a special counter for the participants of the radisson rewards, you will still be sent to the general queue. I do not know why this is so. There may not be enough staff for a dedicated reception desk. There was also a lack of variety of European and seafood dishes. The general impression is that the hotel is fading away due to management errors and insufficient staff work. And those who go for a radisson-level service will be greatly disappointed by its absence. I would like to wish the owners of the hotel to conduct staff training, change some managers, and train the staff in the rules of the radisson network, including the specifics of working with...
Read moreI was lucky to be upgraded. Booked a Junior Suite for 4 night, and got upgraded to the Presidential Suite. So I guess the very least I could do is write a comprehensive review on my stay.
Let me start with all the positives.
They have a really beautiful view, front facing the ocean with the sunrise (though I was unlucky during our stay since we never were able to see a clear sunrise due to the cloudy sky), and the back to the mountains.
The receptionists, the bartenders in the multiple bars they have around the facilities, the waiters in the different restaurants, the buggy drivers, and even the support staff around the beach and hotel area are all super nice and professional.
The activities the hotel have throughout the weekend is really great, free snack and cocktail for the exclusive stays (i guess the suites and villas) activities for kids, yoga, mini soccer, painting, live music on friday & saturday, and others. You could really have a nice time just staying in the hotel area.
The breakfast is pretty good, well I guess it's decent for a 5 star hotel. Nothing special but definitely not bad.
The massage at Esc Spa was really good, the best I've had in Vietnam, and I've been to several in Ho Chi Minh.
The gym and its facilities were also really good.
Now to the things that needs improvement.
In Room Dining / Room Service is really weird, the food choices were really limited, and the price's also high. But the worst part is that you have to pay for a delivery fee of VND 100,000 if your order is below VND 500,000? I've never seen this before in any other 5* hotel/resorts.
Though previously I mentioned that all the staffs working in the hotel were really nice and professional, I have to point out that the cooks behind the stations in the breakfast area were not. I dont understand why, but they're just the complete opposite of hospitality i receive from the other staffs.
The architectural acoustics of the hotel. the main largest swimming pool is located right in front of the hotel building on the ground floor, facing the ocean, with the hotel building is shaped concaved towards the ocean. My hotel room was located on the 12th floor (the highest floor for guest rooms) and we can hear clearly the sound coming from the swimming pool. The sound of people chatting, laughing, and splashing is clearly heard even when the balcony doors are fully closed.
The blinds in the room needs to be maintained. The remote that closes and opens the blinds are not set correctly (some of it), and the blinds that manually closes and opens are really hard to operate.
Bus to Nha Trang city, called in the morning to book a spot to the city for the day, they said it was full, we decided to standby in the lobby when the bus came to see if anybody cancelled. We checked with the guy, and they said a couple cancelled so we could go. But the bus was literally half empty. I'm so confused, the receptionist said they only had 15 spots for the bus, where the bus could clearly hold a lot more than that.
All in all, we had a great time in the resort, would definitely recommend. The only biggest problem for me personally was the architectural acoustics, but it wasnt a huge deal breaker since the resort was generally quiet...

We had the pleasure of staying at Radisson Blu Resort Cam Ranh in May, right after a previous stay at the neighboring Movenpick Resort in April. While both properties offer a high standard of hospitality, Radisson Blu truly stood out in several key areas, especially in space, amenities, and service.
The room was exceptionally spacious, decorated in soothing shades of blue that created a relaxing ambiance. A personalized touch that made us smile was seeing our name displayed on the TV screen as a welcome greeting—a small detail that made a big impression. The balcony was also expansive, providing peaceful views and a perfect spot to unwind. The bathroom was one of the most impressive we’ve seen, more than double the size of the one at Movenpick, featuring a luxurious layout, excellent lighting, and premium fixtures.
One of the biggest highlights of Radisson Blu is its fitness and wellness facilities. The gym is outstanding—spacious, well-ventilated, and equipped with top-quality machines suitable for all levels of training. Right beside it, the sauna is clean, spacious, and well-maintained, providing an excellent post-workout wind-down. In contrast, Movenpick’s gym and sauna were not in the same building as our room, making them much less accessible and less appealing to use regularly.
The buffet breakfast at Radisson Blu was another major plus. The spread was diverse, fresh, and flavorful, offering something for every palate. One charming and memorable experience was the baristas making latte art to order, adding a touch of artistry to our mornings. However, we did note a few areas where improvement could be made: the salad bar lacked variety, and the Vietnamese and Asian dishes were not as broad or refined as those offered at Movenpick. Additionally, the banh mi station did not have a staff member preparing the sandwiches—guests had to assemble them on their own. At Movenpick, this service was offered, and guests could simply pick up a ready-made sandwich.
That said, Radisson Blu excelled in ingredient quality. The fruits were fresher, the yogurt richer, and the cheese selection—particularly the quality—was superior. The bread was also excellent, clearly baked with care and attention to texture and taste.
Above all, what made our stay feel truly elevated was the attentive and professional staff. Everyone we interacted with—from front desk to restaurant staff and housekeeping—was consistently helpful, polite, courteous, and genuinely friendly. Their warmth added a lot to the overall experience and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay.
While we didn’t intend to compare the two resorts, the back-to-back visits naturally led to some observations. Radisson Blu delivers a more spacious, refined, and comfortable stay, while Movenpick excels in localized service details. That said, Radisson Blu’s thoughtful design, superior facilities, and outstanding hospitality left a stronger impression overall.
We truly enjoyed our time here and would not hesitate to return. Radisson Blu Cam Ranh offers a perfect combination of comfort, service, and elegance—an ideal getaway for both relaxation and...
