Mega Light Hotel — Hotel in Nha Trang City

Positive: The wife is absolutely amazing, she is why I have given 3 stars for staff. She actually cared about customers. The shower was hot and a good temperature and the view from the huge window was nice. You can use the kitchen.

Many Negatives: The manager (the boy) should not be working in hospitality, he would just be on his phone all day and laying on the sofa, would not try to communicate English when I had a concern, he would just speak at me in Vietnamese even when I was holding up the translator. The only times I spoke to him was to ask for the water which should have been in the room, to ask for toilet roll (make sure you grab that when you arrive before you go up) and to ask for tea cups, he instead gave me a glass for beer. I was there for 5 days and he wouldn't even smile as I went in and out of the hotel, even when I smiled and said hi to him. The only thing in the room was a kettle, one towel and one set of bathroom things. Room 503 had a very noisy ac so if you get put there, ask for another room! I booked this hotel just for the swimming pool, that whole rooftop including the pool was horrendous, it looked like they were midway through a renovation but just gave up. When I asked if the pool would be cleaned the manager, who I didn't know at the time was the manager, said that he would ask the manager. I later asked his wife who said the same thing. The next day I went back to her and she said the manager said it is rainy season and so there is no way they will clean it. It is March and rainy season is December. It rained once during my time in Nha Trang and I was in the city for a week. The cupboards were filthy, when I put my bags in it, they came out dirty. The bedsheets had stains on them and although the view was nice from the window, the windows were dirty. There is no restaurant upstairs. Most of the tables and chairs are stacked up - making it a very unattractive place to sit.

Overall, the place has potential but the manager has 0 interest in it. Unfortuantely I had made the mistake of paying for 5 nights before I arrived so I couldn't afford to just move. However, if it wasn't for his wife I would have made a big deal to get my money back and leave.

I booked a hotel at Nami Hotel only to discover when i tried to check in at 5pm the room was cancelled. I got a refund but i was on my own to find another hotel on a Friday and being a Holiday on a Saturday. With out further research i found this hotel being available. I glance at the photos of the pool the dining area with breakfast buffet and a nice room. My check in was ok but when i checked into my room it looked different from the pictures. The beds were joined together with a dirty old rusty mattress. The aircon sounded broken but i fixed it enough to be quiet for my stay. The outlet for the fridge didn’t work so i repositioned the fridge to another oultet and got it to work. The big disappointment and total deceitfulness was the broken and disgusted looking pool and the broken dining area with fake buffet breakfast! If i known the truth about the broken pool and the broken dining area i would have never booked at this Dump. If only i took the time to read the reviews i would have never booked at this dump. I’m hoping you will read my review before booking at this hotel so i can clearly say to beware of this hotel because it’s a scam! Deceitful to the max! I would never come back to this dirty broken dump! Shame on the owner of this hotel! Total...

Not sure, where to start. I DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING IN THIS ROOM even though it is cheap.

STAFF - rude staff, they tried to convince me that I have canceled my reservation. Then suddenly, the reservation appeared. It is not possible to pay after checking the room (I know why!), it is not possible to pay by card, so I went for cash and they kept my passport till payment. I did not want to pay when I saw the disaster in the room, but they refused to give me back my passport. They accused my boyfriend of stealing two beers!

ROOM - I have never seen such a disgusting and dirty room. I know that it is cheap but we are not animals! See pictures - mold on the walls, in the bathroom; poo in the toilet; I do not want to know what kind of human extract is on the curtains, etc.

THE POOL - dirty water, plastic bottles in the pool, mess around, the pool is approx 2x2 m.

LOCATION - they have wrong location on maps so it seems that it is closer to beach, but it is not. Also, this part of nha trang is empty - no restaurants, money exchange etc. The second (southeast part) is better and...
