Hang Mua Eco Garden — Hotel in Ninh Bình Province

We just finished four day, / night stay at Hang Mua Eco Garden, in Ningh Binh.||Overall, very lovely location, approximately 1 km from the main road in the village. They offer bicycles snd scooters. Bicycles were free, for a scooter we had to pay 100,000 VND per day - which is a very reasonable price, the owner asked me to put approximately 60,000 VND of gas for full day od driving (2.6 litres of gas) - which overall was more than reasonable . You can also walk both to Tam Coc boat pier and Trang Nha boar pier on your own, it’s about 55 minute walk to each location. Each one of them is approximately 4 1/2 km away from the lodge. The owners were extremely nice, always, smiling, always ready to help and provide advice - which we used. Good breakfast. Everything was organized quite well. They don’t speak much English so you have to use your Google Translate option on your smart phone, which they also used to communicate with you. Overall it works. Rooms were very nice. They have both AC and heating inside. When we’re staying in NINH Binh, it was very damp and drizzly so heater in the evening to dry our shoes and to heat up the room was a welcome option. Overall, bicycle will work for most of the stuff you need to do in NINH Binh. Scooter is a good option for longer trips to see Bai NINH Pagoda and Bich Ding Pagoda - so it makes sense to get it for one day.||Both are worth the visit - don’t miss Bich Ding Pagoda - just past Trang Nha - there is three of them at different levels on this hill. To get to the Third one, the highest one, you need to find the stairs behind the second Pagoda - on the left, when you are facing the pagoda from the front, which are built into the hill inside - with quite steep stairs. We had an amazing stay at Hang Mua Eco Garden. The owners, Luc and Ngoan, were incredibly warm and welcoming , they made us feel right at home with their kindness and friendliness.

The location is perfect, just a 15-minute scooter ride to the center, but surrounded by nature. At the back, you’ll see the mountains, and from the front door of the room, you get a breathtaking view of the lake and mountains. It’s the kind of scenery that makes you feel relaxed and truly on holiday.

Every morning started beautifully with a super tasty free breakfast and coffee, the best way to prepare for exploring Ninh Binh. There are also plenty of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. At night, the area feels a bit isolated , but that was exactly what we wanted after a long day of sightseeing: peace and quiet.

A note for future guests: they no longer use Airbnb, so it’s better to book through apps like Agoda, which we did, to avoid any confusion.

Honestly, this place truly deserves 5 stars. The slightly higher price compared to other nearby properties is absolutely worth it , the bungalow’s unique design, natural setting, and overall vibe bring such a different feeling compared to a normal hotel. It instantly puts you in the holiday mood with its charming structure and surrounding greenery.

Highly recommended for anyone wanting both comfort and a nature escape in Ninh Binh.
