Great hotel to have as base to visit the amusement park, safari and grand world. You get discounts on tickets as well if you book the attraction tickets at the hotel. The pickup was smooth and checkin was fast and the front desk is great. However lower your expectations when it comes to the villas. While huge, it’s not maintained at all. We booked a 4 bedder facing the Lilly pond. The view was calm and refreshing but the rooms light switches and cabinets were broken. The villa assigned was very far from the lobby and needs a buggy to get there for breakfast. You need to wait for the buggy for 10-15 min in low season. High season it’s longer. I don’t understand why they don’t give a buggy for each villa that’s far away? At night keep the windows closed as there are mosquitoes from the Lilly pond. The villa kitchen is only for show. There is nothing, no cutlery, no microwave. Drinking water is limited so you need to buy your own. There is a mart just outside the gate of the property but it’s overpriced. I think the villas should have water filter, microwave, some plates and cutlery at the least. We ordered grab food one night and you have to go pick it up from the main gate, which is ridiculous. The worst of all is the housekeeping. I have traveled a lot and never experienced this kind of housekeeping. We drank coffee everyday and the just rinse the cups with water so you can still see the stains on the cups. If it’s so difficult to wash with soap, they can just provide it in the villa and we are happy to wash it after use. Everyday we had to guess where the housekeeping left the clean towels. The towels placed would get lesser and lesser as the days went by. Initially there were 2 bath towels, 2 face and 2 hand towels in each room. By the end of the stay they stopped placing face and hand towels and only left 1 each at the entrance of the villa. The garbage bins were cleared but they left the tied garbage in the room itself and forgot to take it. We had to bring in down to the entrance. The pool at the villa was never cleaned. By the 2nd day there was a layer of bugs and leaves in the pool. So the kids refused to swim. No pool towels provided in the villa you just need had to make do with the limited towels provided. Being a beach front property and private pool villa, there is no clothes drying rack. How strange? The swim wear had to be dried on the chairs. The pool at the lobby was the best and well maintained. However they have floaties and other equipment to rent at an expensive rate. Lucky pool towels are provided there. They have a kids splash area and outdoor playground that’s shaded and I guess that’s the best part. The kids club is also awesome, the staff are great but they do not monitor the kids so you can’t leave them there. They have paid activities at the kids club but it’s expensive. I the kids areas were the best part of the hotel. The lobby is well maintained and clean toilets. Maybe they should put that much effort in maintaining the villas. 1 night we booked the surf and turf bbq buffet. They promised a Filipino band but clearly they were Vietnamese who sang songs from 80s-90s. So the aunties and uncles enjoyed. My girls really wanted them to play apt but they when the kids asked they were rudely told off by the staff. What a shame that they don’t know how to talk to kids. Take note lobster was only provided on the table and you cannot ask for more, so buffet is a lie. The seafood on the buffet was not BBQ but rather steamed. You can tell. I’m guessing the meat was oven cooked. So the BBQ aspect was a lie and not worth the money. The best part only was the fire dance , which was as promised and good. They interacted well with each table. The band only interacted with 1 table the whole night. The so called bbq was at the pool area. It was cramped with limited space. I would not recommend this bbq. I only recommend to stay here to visit the surrounding areas, for few nights. Otherwise don’t stay, there are better resorts. I’m not coming back. This...
Read moreWe stayed here for 4 nights in Villa 3730 from 22nd to 25th October. The property is extremely beautiful with a private beach. Location is very convenient - you can walk to VinWonders and VinSafari & Grand World are a short drive away. The resort provides free shuttle to all 3 locations with a fixed time schedule running throughout the day. ||We were two families with a total of 4 adults and 4 kids. We stayed in the 4 bedroom pool villa with lake view. It has all possible amenities apart from utensils. 1 bedroom on the ground floor and 3 on the first floor. Only the master bedroom had a safe and bath tub - this should have been there in the big bedroom on the ground floor as well. ||View of the lake from the pool was beautiful with some lotuses blooming. I can imagine this would be a breathtaking sight during lotus bloom season. Water in the pool villa was being constantly recycled and hence of a soothing temperature. Also the outdoor lights were sufficient enough to use the pool at night. ||Breakfast spread has fantastic variety. Most importantly for vegetarians, all items are properly marked with ingredients mentioned like egg / gluten / nuts etc. Of the 3 properties we stayed in Vietnam, the spread as well as the food marking was best here. Nothing more satisfying for a vegetarian than to clearly know what you can eat and what you can't without having to ask hotel staff again and again. The kids loved the eggless pancakes & waffles. There was an Indian section as well with decent variety meaning those who wanted like a brunch could also stuff themselves. I also personally loved the cheese selection.||Service at all times was prompt. Buggies didn't take more than 5-7 minutes. We had some issues with the lighting in the villa pool, and with the tv and safe not working. All were promptly resolved. Staff at reception were also very helpful. Our 4 night stay came with complimentary access to VinWonders or VinSafari. We chose VinWonders and our faces were scanned during check-in itself so we didn't have to wait in lines or get tickets when we went to VinWonders.||We also had 1 afternoon tea included in our stay and since the spread had nothing vegetarian, the chef specially prepared some items for us. The freshly made sandwiches were an absolute delight. We ordered room service dinner in the resort twice. Everything apart from the pizza was good. Special shout out for the refreshing vegetable noodle soup.||The swimming pool is of adequate size though not very big. Due to the villa pool we only used the resort pool once. They had some pool toys / equipment for kids on paid basis. The Kids Club was ok, not great but we really didn't need it. The beach at the resort is not huge but beautiful especially during sunset. They offer additional adventure water activities on paid basis - slightly on the expensive side but negotiable.||Overall we had an extremely enjoyable stay at this property and would love to come back next time we are in Vietnam.||The only drawback is that the property is in the northern most part of the island so if your priority is Sunset Town, Hon Thom Cable Car, Aquatopia, Kiss Bridge etc then it's about an hours drive away. But if most of your days are planned around VinWonders, VinSafari & Grand World then this is...
Read moreA Hotel With Great Potential – But Poor Service Undermines the Experience
This hotel truly has a lot of potential. The rooms are beautifully designed and comfortable, and our villa with a private pool was a definite highlight — clean (enough), spacious, and well-maintained in terms of amenities. It’s clear that the infrastructure was built with care and luxury in mind. That said, there are visible cracks throughout the property’s foundation — literally. These may seem minor now, but they’re the kind of structural issues that, if left unaddressed, could lead to serious long-term problems. Management should take a proactive approach before it impacts safety or appearance.
It’s also important for potential guests to know that the hotel is quite far from most of the main attractions and activities on the island. If you're looking to explore, you'll likely need to arrange transportation frequently, which adds time and cost to your stay. This isn’t a dealbreaker, but it’s definitely something to consider when planning your trip.
Now, where the experience really began to fall apart was with the customer service. I understand that certain regions — especially growing tourist areas like Phu Quoc — are still working to elevate service standards. However, some behavior simply cannot be excused by lack of training.
Many staff members were visibly unmotivated and at times, outright rude. Simple questions or requests were met with dismissive attitudes. During the BBQ dinner, for example, my aunt and I had to flag down multiple waiters just to get basic attention. One staff member made eye contact with us, noticed our repeated attempts to get her attention, rolled her eyes, and then deliberately walked away. That level of disrespect is unacceptable in any hospitality setting.
Another issue arose when we ordered room service. Despite ordering a full meal, no utensils were included. When we called to ask for them, we were told there would be a charge — which made no sense, given we had just ordered food. After explaining the situation, we were told that utensils should’ve already been in the villa’s kitchen. But they weren’t — no paper towels, no plates/bowls, no utinsels.. a completely empty kitche!! and that’s something the hotel should’ve ensured before check-in. Again, basic preparation and hospitality were lacking.
Additionally, there were bugs coming from the shower vents, which is both unsanitary and off-putting. Details like these matter — cutting corners on maintenance and cleanliness can turn what should be a relaxing stay into a frustrating one.
Lastly, I was disappointed to find that even water wasn’t included in the BBQ buffet. Guests were expected to pay extra for everything, which, when paired with subpar service, made the experience feel more like a cost-cutting operation than a genuine effort to provide value.
I genuinely hope management sees this as an opportunity to improve. The property itself is beautiful and has all the ingredients for success, but poor service, lack of attention to detail, and short-sighted cost-cutting are holding it back. With better staff training, maintenance, and a guest-first mindset, this place could truly be a standout resort...
