This restaurant has 2 places, both upstairs and downstairs. Buffet is mostly downstairs. However, if they are busy, they open upstairs as well for the morning buffets. If you book the village package, some comes with breakfast only. Dinner buffet is extra. The problem about dinner buffet is that means you need to schedule your day a bit around dinner time. They do open quite late. If you just want to relax and don’t want to think about it then it’s not a bad option.
Buffet: A bit of something for everyone. I personally quite like the food but I can see why other might not like it. To enjoy the buffet, the trick is don’t get too much food. Try a bit of everything. Keep in mind that they make the food with fairly neutral flavour profile for everyone, so you need to put whatever condiments or ingredients you want as extra. They have noodle bar, hot bánh cuốn, salad bar, cereal, drink cold and hot, pastries, and more. I do think the hot food bar could do with some extra options for noodles. It’s one of the most popular Vietnamese dish after all. Considering this is an island, I’m surprised there is lot a lot of seafood option for breakfast. 🤔
A-la-carte Restaurant: Compliment to the chef. The food was great. The lobster combo was excellent. For people that doesn’t like the buffet, maybe this is a better...
Read moreI suppose this is what you would call "average" food. But as it labels itself as a 5 star resort and it is far from cheap then the expectations are of course much higher than usual and the real experience feels worse. The upside is that a buffet offers something for everybody, the downside is that hardly anything is really tasty. The wine situation is completely ridiculous (remember this is 5 star resort) as apparently they had simply run out of the only white wine thay were selling by glass. The only sparkling wine option available was a medium dry Asti. At one breakfast they run out of coffee. You can use that place to avoid starving but...
Read moreHad buffet breakfast for 2 days in a row as part of the package. Couldn't see the ground floor restaurant as it was already full by the time I had reached, but assuming it was as good as it was on the first floor. Various varieties of foods were presented in an elegant way. I was happy to find enough vegetarian options, including veg biryani. Had lots of fresh fruits, salads, soups, stir-fried vegetables, and breads for vegetarians. I enjoyed eating there...
