Avoid like the plague!
One hour away from the train station by taxi.
Tried to book in at the front desk, could not. Told to call the contact number on our booking confirmation that we never received to confirm room. We already paid but they had no idea who we were.
Called number and had someone say they owned the room and were leasing it out.
Called second number and was contacted by the one who manages the room who then had to physically come to the building to confirm our booking.
The hotel leases its rooms out to tenants who then lease the rooms on hotels.com or some kind of subcontractor arrangement. The ones who took us up didn't wear the same uniforms as everyone else.
I use hotels.com to book hotels for the convenience and the service. I avoid Airbnb's precisely for the reasons above. This is hotels.com not Airbnb.
Took an hour to get it all sorted. Highly frustrating.
You need to join a group chat on Zalo to get basic services like plumbing or room cleaning services. There are 10 people in this group chat that I have no idea about. To check out you need to contact this group and not the concierge.
There were ants in the room, on the 16th floor. Which is strange given that there was a kitchen with induction hob... And no cookware or even cutlery. It doesn't even turn on. At least the kettle works.
It is also filled with ants.
The concierge is useless, they only deal with things like room cards malfunctioning... Which they will. Ours only worked for 24 hours, getting it sorted, despite booking for 6 nights had it extended another 48 hours after 15 minutes of wait, not the entire stay. They also don't handle the checkout, your contractor does.
The restaurants and shops nearby within the resort are all highly expensive and the quality is terrible. Cold food or overcooked food are the norm.
The resort tries to be a one stop shop for people to spend all of their holiday in one location. Unfortunately there are a grand total of 3 functional restaurants for the entire complex, 3 cafes, 4 mini marts, one laundry service that charges 150k for 3 kgs minimum 45k per kilogram after the first 3, and nothing else.
None of these take credit/debit card despite being a tourist resort!! It's cash only and the only ATM I saw on the way here was 45 minutes by car away.
To get anywhere interesting you are going to need to drive for at least 10 minutes (the sand dunes). Everywhere else is 20+.
Do not recommend.
Oh, and the fire alarm still had its travel cap on and there are no fans in the bathroom.
We left after 2 nights. Absolutely...
Read moreVery BAD experience:- we had to wait 1 hour in a very hot room with no AC because then couldn't find our booking. Then transferred to another room waiting 30 min again.- then got a room without see view, which we payed for.- waiting again 20 min in a hot room not AC- when we finally got our room AC and electricity was not working so it was 30+ degrees in the room.- 30 min later it worked, but AC could only be turned on or off and stopped working midnight and the day after, instead of fixing it for good they told us it was ok.- included breakfast €16 for 2 days for 2 persons was a joke, we needed to go ourselves to tiny vietnamees streetfood restaurant (so not in the hotel) with a voucher which was only for a meal, not a drink. Of the whole menu there was only noodle soup available. The meal itself costs €2,5 so we overplayed way to much for a shitty breakfast.- we had gym and 30 min sauna included, when we went to the gym they wouldn't let us in because they said it was not included. When I showed them multiple times on my booking they told us to call a number to fix it ourselves. After 30 min we finally were let in as it was included she said, no sorry or anything. - the pools were good looking, but to cold even with 30 degrees as the wind is very strong and almost every pool is the whole day in the shadow. Only the pool in front is till 14.00 in the sun, but then every sunbed is taken as everyone goes there.- they accused us of buying something at the poolbar which we didn't (it is not a nice poolbar as you can't drink at the pool, people were told to only order there and then drink on a sunbed).- we asked for clean towels, didn't get it.- the room was clean although there was a big insect in our shower.- there's only 1 hotel restaurant in another hotel which is nice but overpriced and took really long to get our food.- it looked like it just opened and half of it was still in process.- there is nothing close by to do or go out.Overal the service was so bad and the communication between the staff aswell.Even in a hostel you get way better service and this is a 4 star hotel.Didn't get any compensation for all the trouble they caused and I couldn't really enjoy .you time as i was frustrated everything went wrong and I had to fix it myself...
Read moreOur stay at APEC Mandala in Mũi Né was an amazing experience! The hotel offered everything we needed for a relaxing family holiday. One of the highlights was the three fantastic swimming pools, all of which were kid-friendly. One pool had a special area for children to play and warm water like a hot tub—ideal for little ones. It’s worth noting that pool access is not included in the hotel stay and costs 150,000 VND per day for the whole family, which we found reasonable. The location is perfect if you’re planning to visit the nearby White Sand Dunes, as it’s conveniently situated for that excursion. However, it is a bit farther from the city center, where most attractions are located. That said, transportation is easy and affordable—a taxi will cost around 160,000-200,000 VND, or you can rent a scooter directly from the hotel for just 200,000 VND.The hotel amenities were excellent, and the service was top-notch. The staff was attentive and friendly, with the person assisting us going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. They also spoke English well, which made our experience even more enjoyable.Although we didn’t try the food at the hotel, there were plenty of shops and restaurants within the building offering fresh, affordable, and delicious meals. Additionally, the supermarkets on-site stocked everything we needed, from swimming gear to everyday essentials.APEC Mandala is a fantastic choice for families or anyone looking for a peaceful and convenient stay in Mũi Né, especially if visiting the White Sand Dunes is on your agenda. We would highly recommend it!Let me know if you’d like further...
