We booked here for one night initially so we could visit the caves around phong nha, but we decided to extend it to two nights as it was such a nice peaceful place and we felt like a rest. ||The family that run it are all siblings with the youngest being 7 and 11. They are both great fun and so full of energy. The 11 year old girl convinced us to go swimming in the river with her on the first night (her English was very good).||The older siblings (brother and sister) in their 20s I think did the cooking. The food was exceptional (the brother has worked as a chef in Malaysia) I think the food was probably the best we have had in Vietnam yet. Meals were all very cheap. ||We also hired a motorbike from them to get around Phong Nha and visit the caves and the duck stop. ||The Homestay is located at the end of town so it is very quiet. It takes about 5 minutes to ride to the centre of town. ||The family booked us our bus ride to Hue and dropped us off in town with our bags at the end of our stay. The bus ride was only 150k pp. another place we visited in town...
Read moreStayed here in early October and had an absolutely incredible stay. Beautiful location and even more beautiful family that makes you feel like home (yes it lives up to it's name).
Located right at the end of the main road in Phong Nha, it feels secluded but with a scooter you'll be in the city center in just a couple of minutes. The view of the river is stunning, truly one of the most beautiful places i've ever been to.
The room was affordable, clean and cozy, nothing at all to complain about. We arrived in the middle night and were not only picked up at the bus station, but we could also check in and catch a few hours of sleep.
What makes this place truly special is the family. Having dinner and hanging out together was a great, enriching experience, learning about the vietnamese culture and the story of these wonderful people (and eating some of the best food we had in southeast asia).
Thank you so much...
