Pamo Hotel And Restaurants Ltd. — Hotel in Copperbelt Province

Something very unpleasant happened to me during my stay in the hotel. The day of my check-in I was asked to pay and so did I (with credit card). My booking bill was expressed in dollars and euros so I was supposed to paying in one of the twos currencies. The day after I was informed at the reception that the bill was wrong, having they charged me more than the due and so I was expected to be refunded a difference. The problem is that the transaction had been payed in zambian currency so they wanted to refund me the difference in zambian currency at an exchange ration which was not the official one (1$=13zmw instead of the official 1$=14zmw). At the end I accepted to be refunded at the terms indicated even because I had no choice. Other problems encountered. The breakfast was very poor and monotonous. No water in the room. Very poor wi-fi Sheets and Towels with stains. Ants in the bathroom. I asked for a late check-out and they gave it to me till when they realized I couldn’t have it anymore, so I had to pack my things and go away all out of a blue. Pay in cash and if...

Quite a decent place but my first night at this facility, as I write this review, has been nothing but a nightmare! It might be unfair to write a review about a place based only on one night experience. However, with incessant, unsettling noise pooring down on my room apparently from an adjacent casino on site (which strangely started around 10pm and persisted through 12:40am as I write this review), there is a strong basis to classify staying in this facility as far from being conducive; especially as I drew the attention of management (represented on the night by two night staff members) to my plight but with no positive effect whatsoever! In short, if you desire a congenial place to rest after the day's exhaustive, hardwork; you may have to look eslewhere before you are subjected to a bad night that will impact negatively on the productivity of your day the next day. There wasn't even a telephone facility for me to place an intercom call to remind the staff on duty about the persistence...

I travel through Africa and Europe and are very particular to my accommodation.||||Positive point about this hotel.||If you like Curry you are going to enjoy dinner.....in your room, the bar area is not the right area to have dinner.||Staff are friendly and do their best with what they have.||Bed is big not to sure how clean...was a bit skeptical, however had a good nights sleep.||||Negative||The hotel is tacky, unfinished, disapointing to say the least.||Breakfast is the worst I have had at a hotel to date, I could not finish it, Could not take the Frisco coffee either. The 2nd day I did not even bother to go...||Wifi comes and goes.||Room is not vert dark at night and there are some noise, I asked for a quiet room so I guess I got one.||||I will never be back. I will keep on trying, I see the Garden court has opened, I will try there...
