We had booked this 6-hour trip to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. Amazing, magical, breathtaking and faultless are overall how we would sum up the whole experience. Firstly, booking was easy via a phone call and WhatsApp with Stacey, who wanted to make sure that all of our needs were understood and met. As a sailing experience we wanted something more traditional and The Gadaboat and her crew do not disappoint. The yacht is a traditional beauty and super comfortable with all the amenities you could possibly want and need. Throughout the day we were treated to the skill, knowledge, hospitality and wonderful conversations with Captain George and his captain’s mate Rasheem. We started our journey at 12pm and after a couple of hours sailing and taking in the breathtaking beauty of the Antiguan landscape , we anchored off a beach where we could relax on the sun loungers on deck or pop in the water for a refreshing swim. We also devoured lunch which was a combination of delicious freshly prepared roti, watermelon and melt-in your mouth feta cheese. Throughout the trip there were snacks on offer and freshly mixed rum punch, Prosecco, beer and soft drinks. In the afternoon, the plan was to do some snorkelling (snorkels and fins are provided for you) but I changed my mind because I was just enjoying the sailing so much. I was also more than happy with the turtles and flying fish we got to see from the boat! We rounded off the day with more sailing with Prosecco against the magical backdrop of a beautiful sunset. We loved it all from start to finish and thank you Stacey, George and Rasheem for the most incredible and...
Read moreWe had an incredible time with Gadaboat! Omarrie and Rasheem were outstanding—friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly experienced sailors who made our day on the water truly special. Coordinating the trip with Stacey was seamless, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. We cannot recommend this team highly enough.
Our six-hour sail was nothing short of magical. Omarrie and Rasheem shared fascinating insights about Antigua, its history, and its people, adding depth and meaning to the experience. We enjoyed a peaceful swim in the ocean and were treated to a fantastic lunch of chicken roti, a refreshing watermelon, mint, and feta salad, and some delicious rosé.
We truly couldn’t have asked for a better day—or better company to spend it with. Antigua is breathtaking from the water, and a surprise encounter with a sailing regatta was an unexpected highlight. Spotting a few sea turtles along the way was the perfect finishing touch.
Even the brief rain shower we experienced felt refreshing and joyful. We wouldn’t hesitate to charter Gadaboat again in the future—you won’t be...
Read moreWe jumped aboard for a 4 hour sail and immediately felt at ease. George, Stacey and Omari, the mate, create an amazing vibe on the boat. It’s just easy, relaxed and perfect. You can feel that they really enjoy doing this and you feel at home. George and Stacy are seasond sailors who have spent many years in these waters. The boat is beautiful and has alot of deck space. The lunch and drinks were excellent, and Stacy made sure the kids had a selection in the way of snacks and drink as well. Stacy has started serving Roti cooked by a relation of Omari’s on the boat, and wow, you can’t stop eating them. Im sorry I started with the prosecco and didnt have the rum punch (had to drive afterwards) which I hear is top notch.
We saw some of the round-the-island catamaran charters zipping around via motor blaring music, and we were so glad to have opted for this instead. Its real sailing and real hospitality. A great time on the water.
Thanks George Stacy and Omari ! Markus Patricia...
