Popped in for a late lunch today at Sandra’s. Beach bar is located directly on Jolly Beach- what a view! Service was outstanding- I believe Daniel was our server. Pleasant young man! Food is made fresh to order so there is a bit of a wait time, but with an ocean view like the one at Sandra’s this shouldn’t be a concern. We ordered the grilled lobster & curry goat meal with red stripe beer . Something to note: some items varies (look for the + next to prices to avoid surprises-I saw another review mentioned they got a higher bill than expected) this probably is due to fluctuation in market price. Other than that , if you’re in jolly harbour , this beach bar should be on your list to visit. There’s a cute swing photo op with an Antigua flag in front. 🇦🇬A great spot to experience local culture.

Sandra's came highly recommended on Trip Advisor but I'm not really sure why. The location is great, right on the beach, but that's probably the best part. Service is pretty slow (expected due to island time); however, the staff was very friendly. Prices were a little high for food that is really nothing special -- good but not any better than anywhere else. I got the ham and cheese wrap (came with a little salad) and hubby got the chicken meal (though it wasn't specified that it was Jerk chicken so it was too spicy for him). The mango smoothie was excellent, though! I can't really recommend Sandra's. It isn't BAD, but it isn't GREAT either -- just middle of the road.

Hot dog was tiny , chips ok, my prawn roti was delicious . It took them 1 hour to make it and the service is really slow . Mentioned this to the man and he said well it is what it is and that in the Caribbean service is slower then I’m the UK but I am Antiguan and come every year to see my family so this was unfair to say ( as I took my boyfriend here for a holiday) the view was nice of the beach . They have a big selection of drinks , I think because it was so busy as it was high season that’s why service was slow. Not sure if I would come back again after this , I have been before but in a low season so good came out faster.

It was the only restaurant in front of Jolly Beach this season. There was an amazing pop-up restaurant the year before, but it wasn’t there this year. We love spending the day there and gave this place a try.

First, they said $5 for each chair (2 of us) and $10 for the umbrella. But then came to collect $25. We refused and they accepted $20.

Then, I wanted a light lunch and ordered shrimp, which I think was listed as a starter. They said they don’t have the shrimp and instead gave me the deep fried shrimp entree, which cost more than double than the shrimp. This didn’t make sense and we felt like they were just trying to get as much money out of us as possible. We were their only customers that day. And we still had a good time for the most part.

But then I asked to use their restroom. Oh my goodness! They have no running water whatsoever. They have a bucket. With a sign saying something like this is how the locals do it. There was a sink. I put soap on my hands and walked out with soap on my hands. They also have an extremely mean lady that guards this “bathroom”. She guards the key and questions your use of the bucket.

I informed them that there was no running water and told them I had soap on my hands, thinking they would let me rinse it off elsewhere. But they were not one bit surprised and said the water must be out.

So I’m guessing they cook without washing...

Came here to enjoy a beautiful sunset drink and snack. The staff we're very friendly and cheerful, the service was a bit slow but nothing terrible and we enjoyed chatting with our server who seemed very sweet. We had a beer, some wings and enjoyed the sunset. I was even making mental plans to come back another day as they have some lounge chairs on the beach.

However, as we were leaving we decided to stop at the bathroom. The toilet was clearly broken and unflushable, they provided a bucked of water to "flush the toilet" and two of us in a row couldn't figure out how to get it to actually flush. When I came out, an older woman came rushing out asking me if I flushed the toilet. I apologized (quite politely despite how aggressive she was) that I couldn't figure out how to flush it. She became incredibly angry and started yelling at us that we must flush the toile. We continued to say it wouldn't work, however she got considerably more angry and told us we can never come back. Honestly one of the oddest and rudest experiences ever at a restaurant, it was incredibly strange. If the toilet causes her so much stress, here's a revolutionary idea - how about replacing it? But she doesn't need to worry, we definitely...

By reading the other comments I'm wondering if they do a competition for the worst customer service. Unfortunately we didn't have internet to check before going lesson learn. The Waitress was not looking happy to see us and when we ordered she was not really friendly she didn't want to explain much the plates. We waited a long time for the food and we were the only 2 there The food was average was only a very small slice of pineapple on the hawaiaan burger so I dont see why is way more expensive than the other burgers. When we came to pay I asked to just pay for my burger and she wasn't happy I asked for that she looked very pissed of and I wanted to pay in Caribbean dollars by card as the prices are not the same in dollar she started to calculated and then stopped she looked like bothered and say we dont do that we only do in US . She was just lazy and wanted to over charge with the us dollars I think. I know maybe the season was tough but we felt...
