Absolutely ELATED that I found this store! Oskar’s Wooden Ark has everything you could possibly dream of when it comes to quality toys for your little one. I’m so impressed.

I’d also just like to say thankyou to the owner for offering layby as an option! I know this means that the store does not get an immediate turnaround of stock and also requires them to store your purchase for the layby period - but I also bought about 10x more than I would have by using cash on hand or BNPL services (which they also offer as a payment option). There are very few stores willing to offer layby anymore - so for that Oskar’s Wooden Ark will forever have a loyal customer in me!

There used to be a great little toy store where we live called Knock on Wood Toys, but they have sadly closed since. The toys offered by places like Kmart or Target just don’t even match in quality and their toys are just a waste of money (with one or two exceptions). Oskar’s Wooden Ark not only offers Grimms toys, which actually have a resale value due to their known durability, but also a whole other range of brands I’m only just learning about and am just so delighted to have found! Above and beyond customer service - always happy to answer questions and demonstrate products. Oskar's Wooden Ark stocks such great quality, open-ended toys that last, so we will be able to keep them for future grandkids, nieces/nephews etc. I'm a kindy teacher and see so many plastic, junky toys go in and out of popularity and never survive long, so I pick what I buy for my own kids carefully - I've never been disappointed by the quality of what we've ordered from OWA; be they wooden toys like our marble tree, instruments and cars; educational toys like our wooden home calendar; or our collection of Ambrosius fairies - and a VERY beloved Ollie Ella doll. When we received a good that was faulty through no fault of their own, OWA quickly and generously resolved the problem and offered several solutions so we could choose how we'd best like the matter fixed. Our items always arrive swiftly despite having to cross the ditch, and are always carefully packaged but using materials that are conscious of the environment (no having to get rid of miles of bubble wrap!) - so awesome to see a business that cares not just for this generation of little ones, but future...
