Not happy. Visited about 2.30 pm. Asked about the pork that was on the 2 signs outside. Lady laughed at me, said we sold out of that early this morning, and a lot of people have been in trying to buy. I thought why don’t you rub it off your outside signs if you have sold out? Isn’t that false advertising? I asked the lady for two of the dearer pork chops, I turned around and she had gone? Male employee walked around from the other counter and stood behind the counter and asked me what I wanted. I said I already told the lady what I wanted, where had she gone. He said she’s gone out the back to talk to the boss on the phone? Not a happy customer here. To walk off after I told her what I wanted was poor service. Then I had to explain to the young man what I wanted again. Turned out the pork with paprika rub was tough as well as the poor...

I went in today for the $10 roast pork roll deal. For the price I was expecting shaved roast pork on a hotdog roll.

What I got was a bistro-quality slice of roast pork and crackling on a quality bread roll, and I will DEFINITELY be returning for another next time I'm in the area.

And to top it off, the lady who served me was incredibly friendly and helpful. Add in the warm atmosphere of the shop and it's a winner in my opinion.

My family has been coming here for 30 years, but the Standoms here in Gepps Ctoss has gone down hill since the pandemic. Staff that either don't want to be there or are untrained, meat that gets purchased and is virtually off very next day and prices which have risen unjustly and sharply.
