Holly was the absolute best decision Greg and I made about our wedding day - other than deciding to marry each other, of course!!

Finding a celebrant for our wedding was something Greg and I were nervous about at the start of our wedding planning journey. Being the first amongst our friend group to get engaged, we had no one, really, to ask for recommendations and met with a few celebrants we found online or met through wedding open days. We wanted someone who would be able to tell our love story like they’d known us as friends (cause we’ve watched so many romcoms where people’s friends gets to officiate their wedding in America), someone who would be able to incorporate both our dream wedding ceremony needs and the wishes of our families, and someone who was in budget - and not only did Holly tick all three boxes, she also just about made Greg and I fall in love at first sight. She was warm, smiley, bought us coffee and we were a bit swept off our feet by her charm and all around loveliness. Though it was a no-obligation meet-up, Greg and I knew when we walked away, unable to wipe the smiles off our faces, that we had found the one!

What we didn’t know was that we had won the celebrant jackpot by choosing Holly. The next few times we met and chatted with Holly for signing documents, writing our vows, and for our rehearsal at the venue, we were in the blur of full wedding planning, and she was the perfect supportive, enthusiastic, calm, understanding person and wealth of knowledge and experience that we needed to help us through all our wedding ceremony planning to-dos before the ‘I do’s :) Her get-to-know-you forms and vow-writing guides were so professionally presented, so beautiful and SO easy to follow, but more than that it was her quick responses, check-ins and encouragements that were so full of love and warmth. You can just tell that Holly is someone who truly loves her job and absolutely believes in the magic of love, and she will definitely make you feel like you and your partner’s romance is so worth celebrating on your big day and that the marriage you are going to enter will be so worth ALL the work that goes into planning a wedding.

As for the wedding day itself and our ceremony - well, it was a dream come true. And hand on heart, Holly was the first vendor I wanted to reach out and thank the next morning! So for anyone considering choosing Holly or wanting to meet up with her for your wedding plans in 2024, I will leave you with the heartfelt text I sent Holly the day after she married us.

“Early this morning, when Greg and I woke up as husband and wife (eeee!!!), I asked him what his favourite part of the wedding was, and he said it was the ceremony 💕 It was only half an hour (perfectly on schedule) but felt like it contained a lifetime of the best memories we could have ever hoped for. THANK YOU for brilliantly capturing our love story, making us cry, keeping us smiling, breathing and feeling present, and of course having our loved ones touched to tears and laughing and cheering. Though it was our special day, it was definitely your warm presence and wordsmith-ing that made our ceremony so magical and memorable, and I will be forever grateful we found you. I can’t even count how many times we were complimented on “the best ceremony ever” and “the amazing celebrant” but just know it was more than Greg and I who felt the love yesterday with you under the arbour!! You have a beautiful heart which is so evident through your interactions with everyone, and so clear in the work you do. You are so talented. You were amazing from the moment we met you, to helping us through our vow-writing process, to you calming us at our rehearsal on the big set-up day and finally standing beside us as we tearfully said our I dos! We heartily recommend Celebrations with Holly and can’t thank her enough for helping make our wedding the most amazing day of our lives. (Our friends helped a bit, but the day wouldn’t have gone anywhere near as smoothly without Holly.)

We found Holly by attending our friends’ wedding where she was officiating. From our first FaceTime right up to the day itself, Holly was approachable, knowledgeable, down to earth, efficient, and above all had a sense of calm that told us she would be able to handle anything thrown at her.

Holly made the whole process so straightforward for us, taking care of all the paperwork, being the contact person on the day for all the vendors, teaching us how to write the perfect vows, providing us with a huge menu of amazing readings to choose from, and running a rehearsal to help us practise our walking down the aisle.

But the most important contribution Holly made was in using our chats and the answers we gave to her comprehensive questionnaire to design a ceremony that was authentically us. Holly finds out what makes each couple tick and tailors the ceremony to be exactly what they would envisage for their perfect moment. Her style was subtly different for our friends’ wedding, because are our friends’ personalities are subtly different from ours. We didn’t know it would be noticeably different, and that was a lovely surprise. We lost count of the number of people who came up to us afterwards and said “The ceremony was so YOU”.

Holly also recommended most of our other vendors, which made our planning work really simple, and brought a killer sound system to play our playlists of pre-ceremony mingling music and ceremony set-piece songs.

Holly was the first celebrant we interviewed and we decided not to hunt around anymore after we spoke to her. We definitely stand by that decision after experiencing...

We were married by Holly in late September 2023. We felt incredibly lucky that Holly married us during her maternity leave/break, she was the perfect fit for us as a couple and the family and friends we celebrated with. Holly was flexible and accommodating of our remoteness, with our first face to face meeting was early one Sunday morning at her home. It was during this meeting we saw Holly’s passion as a celebrant, her knowledge all things weddings and true commitment to tailoring everything about our ceremony to us as a couple. In the lead up to our wedding, Holly made herself available to check-in with and helped us stay on track with wedding planning (thankfully as we left a lot to the last minute). She was responsive to all our enquiries and we felt really comfortable with her approach. We loved how Holly gathered information about us with her survey and how she crafted this into a beautiful script for our day. We decided not to read the script beforehand which meant, along with our guests, we enjoyed the surprises of her script (which perfectly hit the mark) on the day. Holly met with us on the day of our wedding for quick chats and document signing, it was comforting to be able to run things through with her before the ceremony. Holly made everyone at our wedding feel so incredibly welcome and beautifully told our story. Many of our guests commented on what a fantastic celebrant she was and we agree that she was the perfect choice for our wedding.
